Sadly Tink was found abandoned with several leg injuries. The holding kennels were also a mixed Rescue kennels so had the leg fixed and then Tink came into us. Unfortunately he was rehomed in London and it was too busy busy for Tink on the street walks. He was reactive on lead. Luckily for Tink he had a stint in the Countryside of Hampshire from before Christmas until last week, and has now moved to Essex to be with Barney and his two Lurcher girls until he is rehomed. Tink is an amiable little chap. Only around 21 inches to the shoulder, he is a small Lurcher boy. He will be booked in for neutering shortly and then ready for his new home. He can live with males or females and loves to walk and run around with dogs that he gets to know. When he is off lead he loves to forage in the undergrowth and do his own thing, avoiding dogs he doesn't know. Oh, and he loves a lap cuddle. xx Simon delivered the lad about 45 minutes ago & is now on his two hour drive home. Many thanks for stepping into the breach Simon.
Tinker, (& I'll continue to call him that), apparently took the journey in his stride & spent most of it just watching the world go by. He'd only known Simon for a short while & was entirely comfortable in his company, as he has been in mine & the girls'.
Tinker stands a mere 21" tts & is an absolutely scrummy little bundle who looks to be in excellent condition.
We're just about to go for a walk in the park & I'll report back later.

Tinker was faultless on lead in the park, though 'twas obvious that he was keen to discover what was lurking in the undergrowth. He found lots of 'niffs & he marked to his heart's content. There were no close encounters with other dogs, in fact there were very few in the park, probably because of the cold & sleet, (I had found him a coat to wear, which was the smallest available, but still dwarfed him! ).
I'm about to visit my neighbour friend Tom for a glass or three of red, & I'll take Tinker, as he'll be staying with Tom while I do the big weekly shop tomorrow morning.
So far so very good.......................

Enjoy your boys drink. Don't drink too much Tink. And huge thanks Barney. He has done well since coming back in, just a shame that we encountered the problems we have. x

Tink sounds a very adaptable hound. What she said. Though surely rather unsettled, he took it all in his stride. Just wants and gives great feedback when is shown care. His eye contact is excellent. Very trainable, to the extent any instinctual hunter is. Jim Greenwood would luv 'm. Barney's going to have a very tough time saying good bye to Inky Tinky. ps. Came with balls. Chop tba? pps. Tinka, not Barney. For the chop, that is.

Having fostered little Pops, so very similar in looks and probably heritage, it's funny how these dinky ones get under your skin. Have fun Barney and Tinker!

Thank you all involved with delivering Inky tink to Barney. He is a special lad and didn't put a paw wrong when he stayed with my pack, he loves his cuddles and is always by your side. Cat friendly too !!! We need to find his forever sofa soon.

We were having a peaceful night's sleep, with Tinker cosied up against me, when Annie woke us just before 3.00a.m., needing to go out. This is highly unusual, but it led to us all getting an early breath of fresh air with a round the block comfort break walk.
Tinker is proving to be the lovely lad he looks - he sits nicely to have his lead on, & to have treats, which he takes gently.
His appetite is very healthy - he thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast, then looked to finish any that the girls had left, but they'd sussed him out & there were very few pickings remaining in their bowls.
Tinker has discovered the resident teddy bear, which he carries round the home-kennel, but hasn't yet latched on to t'other cuddly toys or the tennis balls - though I'm sure that it'll be just a matter of time.
Later this morning I'll sort out an appointment for him to be neutered.
