Well done Barney, I'm so pleased that Tinker is slotting in so well with you, he's a great little dog. Not sure I would have fancied a 3am walk.....it was freezing last night.

Hope Annie didn’t take you on any nightly walkies again and you and Tink got a cosy nights sleep.

Hope Annie didn’t take you on any nightly walkies again and you and Tink got a cosy nights sleep. We all had an undisturbed night's kip Heather, so we went for our early walk at the usual sensible time of 6.30a.m.

Barney - pleased although not surprised to read that Tink has settled well with you and the girls. x He's a real Superstar Sarah.
He's now found a couple more cuddly toys, & performs some impressive acrobatics with them.
He was impeccably behaved when he was at my mate Tom's yesterday while I went shopping, but Tom said he, (that's Tinker, not Tom!), had missed me. He certainly is a very loyal little hound. Whether he'll still be so fond of me next week remains to be seen, as he'll be visiting the vet for that operation...............

I was fortunate to meet Tink during his time in Hampshire. On our brief acquaintance he seemed to be an amiable adaptable little hound, although one suited better to a country rather than a city scape. I doubt he would be bothered by fireworks should you do get any on Thursday night? He may whine the night after his op but I bet all will be forgiven by the next morning!? xx

Rather than have my mate Tom houndsit as per usual when I go shopping, I left Tinker in the home-kennel with the girls while I went into town this morning. I was gone for a around an hour & a half, & on my return there was no sign of any separation anxiety.
We have established that Tinker is positively, definitely not cat-friendly!
On our return from the mid-afternoon walk yesterday we met Kenni, a resident elderly Yorkie on the landing. Tinker was ready to make friends, but Kenni went for him very aggressively. Tinker stood his ground & told Kenny in no uncertain terms where to get off. Kenni is well known for his aggressive tendencies, & I would normally have avoided him, but unfortunately this time we chanced upon him coming round a corner.
I obviously have no idea what Tinker was fed on in his previous existence, but he arrived with the most horrible squits I've ever encountered. With a decent diet this problem has now been overcome.

Next on the fostership list is establishing the extent of Tinker's recall, (if any!).
I'm pondering whether to take him to the park on his own, or to take the girls too, in order to find him & bring him back if he goes AWOL.
This event will not occur today, but some time over the next couple of days - watch this space.

Great update Barney, he's certainly settled in with you, not sure I would let him off lead ATM as he has been left to his own devices with Gerry. Can't believe he's not cat friendly, Thomas the killer cat kept him in place whilst here 🐅🐅 sleeping in the same room. Xx

Glad Tink’s little op is booked. Might be an idea to have the girls with you when you do test recall - just in case! 😏

Might also be a good idea to use a 25 metre long web lead so that you have something to tread on just in case. x
