She is beautiful. I would really love this little girl for a companion to my dog. He lost his female companion and has been lonely. We have the two puppies here at the moment but I feel this little girl would be perfect for us xx

We've had a couple of wee's on the rug this morning. Partly our fault because she was due a garden visit. There's a cheeky little madam emerging, quite playful and running around with her toy. I think she's trying to engage Lizzie in play, but Liz is having none of it and runs away from her. Having three legs doesn't stop her thieving either. Whilst I was cleaning up the wee, I heard a rustle of foil. I ran back in the kitchen and she'd pilfered a bit of chicken skin from the leftover chicken.

So, a quick update.
I'm very pleased to say Pops had a drink at 6pm today. Happy foster mum. She's bobbing around behind us quite a lot, and likes to be with the pack.
She needs some time out in her crate to make sure she can cope with being left, and aside an odd protest yip/whimper she soon settles with lamby. She even went in her crate out of choice this evening after having spent our tea prep/eating time in there, followed by supper of puffed jerky. She's currently sprawled on the lounge rug chilling.
At night she goes in another crate in our bedroom. The second night in the next door bedroom she got quite upset so we moved her in with us. After some heavy panting, she was OK and has been quiet through the night.
Stitches out hopefully tomorrow afternoon.

So pleased it is all going so well for you all.
Hope the Vet is pleased with the healing tomorrow. Poppy will be more comfortable without the itchy stitches.

Lovely update, she sounds like a really special girly. Fingers crossed her forever home isn't too far away. In the meantime it sounds like she is right at home with you all :-) x

Ho hum, we were going to book her in for spaying, so that will have to be done at a later date. But it probably explains the couple of piddles on the carpet.

Ha ha ha! Thanks Heather and Ro. Thankfully, we went through it with Greta so have a bit of an idea what we're dealing with.

Oh dear, maybe she just wants to stay with you a little bit longer :-D Or maybe she likes wearing clothes so much, she wanted to wear pants to go with her vest! Seriously, we tried pants for about 5 mins, but she wants to keep herself clean so we took them off again. Luckily we have hard floors downstairs, and both rugs will be going to the tip when we finish decorating.

That’s bad luck but nothing you can do about it. I recently read that the medical pet shirts are good to use on a dog if you have a bitch in season in the pack... just saying!!!

Another totally quiet night with Poppy in her crate, from 11.00pm - 7.30am. I'm sure she likes the reassurance of being in our room. When we get up in the morning, she waits patiently until we're ready to get her out. Then wiggly greetings, but calm. She's been attempting to roach for a few days, but being one legged at the front, she's off balance. Worked it out this morning though!

This is the one time our suspicions about Alfie having been done a bit early is a good thing. He's having a little sniff, but not really that interested. I know we're not at the flirty stage yet.
