Nala came into SLR through holding kennels yesterday and has now been safely delivered via Gerry and David to Han in Newmarket. Thank you all who were involved in getting her out and up to her foster mum. I am sure she will update you all shortly. xxx

Thanks Jenny, Nala has settled in beautifully. She has been introduced to the boys and was a bit nervous at first. She had a bath and then I took them all for a walk and she was much happier when they were all off lead together. Just to note our paddocks are totally secure at home. She wanted to stay close to me and enjoyed the little treats I had. Boy can she run!! She had a couple of mad minutes and was quickly out of breath so not that fit. She must have been in a home at some point, she can happily get up and down stairs and snuggled straight into the boys bed. She appears house trained but I have the crate while she gets settled and to make sure there is no chewing going on! My sister and 9yo niece popped in and she was lovely with my niece and not fazed at all. So far she seems to have the most placid nature. Some pics above of her first afternoon with us xx

Bless. She's probably had more love and cuddles in the transport run than she's ever had. Onwards and upwards for Nala and Lance too. X

Well done for taking her in and helping her on her journey to a new life. She is so pretty I'm sure it won't be long before someone falls in love with her, but then the bittersweet parting comes along! In the meantime you'll know how much it will mean to her and a new family that you helped her on her way. Looking forward to more photos and updates

Oh goodness!! She is the spitting image of our Jemima, from the colouring, thickness of coat, and the exact same feathering. I showed John one photo, and he asked me where I took it!! Then in the next breath he asked if I thought it would be silly to get a sister for Jemima!! If he had retired I would certainly give it some thought, but 2 for walks is my limit. Also I think Bob would have a nervous breakdown with two Salukis ruling the roost! Thank you so much for taking her in Han. You are a star xx

Nala was an angel first night here. She had a little saluki sing song when we first went to bed but was quiet after a few minutes and then slept until neil got up at 4.30. He let her out and she went to the toilet and then back to bed until I walked them at 7. She has a lovely nature. Last night she spent the evening playing with toys and although happy for me to play with her she was equally st home chucking them around herself. She walks nicely on the lead and I have been starting some work on her recall which is helped by the fact she likes treats! Some more pics below just to reiterate our paddocks are all securely fenced and situated on private land hence she is off lead. I have been doing the first ten mins on a lead to let the boys have a blast so they are settled once she is off x

She sounds lovely. You are so lucky having enclosed paddocks for the hounds to run in.
