She had the first accident in the house last night, 2 poos and a wee but I'm pretty sure she couldn't help it. The change has obviously upset her stomach. She did it all on the rug in front of the fire so she was considerate in that respect. But this morning I think she was prepared for us to go mad. Which of course we didn't. I'm not 100% sure she didn't try to eat the first poo :-(
Poo lamb is nervous if we get too close. Especially Graham.
She also raised the cupboard last night which graham left open. She's eaten half a loaf of bread. So she will raid - that lesson learned. I'm not surprised given how thin she is. She's eating little and often but she gets so nervous getting up and going to get the food that graham has ended up being the food to her. Hopefully slowly she will learn that it's all going to be ok xx
She really is a lovely hound.

Oh dear, that bread won't have helped the state of her tum I bet. I'm sure the poor girlie will soon come to realize that humans can be good things. One can only imagine what she has experienced in the past. Sending hugs and ear-ruffles all round.

Poor girly, it will take time, but she will eventually learn to trust you. I hope her tummy settles down, the bread won't have helped

She is gorgeous and our Tilly was just the same with food when she came to us as a foster. She still likes everyone to sit while she eats and keeps an eye out, it makes me sad to think what has happen to these dogs in the past. I could lift her into the bath when she first came to us, but I bliming couldn't now!! She will blossom with you, it's surprising what a little love will do.

Another horrid poo when out on our mid day walk. She's nervous of traffic but settles once we are somewhere quiet. Luckily we are close to fields, woods and the river so we can go somewhere without much Noise.
She recognises the house now and speeds up to home but then scuttles in and lays where she always Goes. I had to bring her water after the walk. She's so scared she would go without food and drink i think.
Jonny and I are enjoying mummy Mondays with the hound and the walk even made Jonny sleep - Wonders will never cease.
It makes me cry when I think of what has made her so scared. Lots of patience and love. She'll get that in the bucket load here.

What a beautiful girl. It is such a shame that she has been mistreated in the past but I hope that she will quickly realise that she can relax now. Lilly was a sensitive little girl when she first arrived with me - cringed when she stepped over the lead as she thought she was going to get a mouthful and wouldn't go far from my side but she's a confident thing now who disappears off for a ramtoozle at the first opportunity on a walk.

She's beautiful! I'm sure she'll gain confidence once she realises no-one is going to hurt her. It breaks my heart thinking about what these dogs have been through, so I don't dwell on it, and look forwards to a positive future. Good luck with her x

Such a beautiful girl I find it upsetting when they are so nervous and scared of us humans. So pleased she is with you and experiencing love and understanding 😊

Maggie has been with us a week now.
We've had one more wee in the house (same rug) and that's it. The issue is that she doesn't like to move about in the house too much especially when graham and I are about (mostly graham) we are having to lead her out. We've taken to feeding her outside yesterday to encourage her out and associate it with good things. But she seems to rather hold on rather than go out and relieve herself.
Yesterday evening she almost forgot herself and started to bound across the garden to me before she stopped herself. She is regularly wagging her tail at me and it's getting more enthusiastic but she still likes to remain laying down at her end of the living room.
She's eating well. Not at all phase by the kids. Both Maggie and the kids have been amazing with each other. I am so proud of all 3 of them.
She will roach now and have a belly rub and ear ruffles.
Tonight my friend is bringing her Saluki over. We know he is nervous but good with dogs much like maggie. I'm Hopefully it will go well so she can have a little friend.
She is nervous on the lead. She doesn't like traffic especially at night.
She's a poppet
We are a bit in love.

What a lovely update and what lovely children you have! You sound as if you are doing everything right, slowly slowly and with love and patience she'll come round. Makes you wonder what on earth has happened to this poor girl.
