It's been 48 hours since Duncan arrived, so here is a quick update. He has settled in very well and both him and Sprout are fine together.
He walks on the lead well and is able to wait and sit on a kerb. He does pull if he smells a sniff ( sniffs a smell?) or if he feels he is being left behind by Ellie. He plays very well with her and is the first to back down if it gets too exciting. He does seem to be a bit confused at times with Ellie's play barks and bowing. He does tend to get very vocal if he sees or meets another dog and will need training on this. He is also a jumpy boy when people walk through the door or he sees his lead.
There is no food aggression - both licked off the same plate this morning at the same time. He is much more toy orientated than food orientated I would say.
He is clean in the house but not very good at aiming yet - so far, has pee'd over my leg and over Ellie 🙄.
There's been no real crying and there were no issues when Ween took Ellie out last night without him. He also doesn't seem at the moment to be prey orientated.
We've just got back from the pub ( for research purposes of course) and he was a bit unsettled until the food came. Here he is waiting for his Malibu and coke.... 😎

Bless him, I'm sure with continued exposure to pubs he'll be right as rain. It sounds like Duncan is settling in a treat.

Duncan had a lovely morning zooming round the enclosed area with Christine and the adorable Lenny as well as Ellie. He was very good and his recall is coming along well. His visit to the vets was a little scary for him but he has now been given the ok from his castration and also had some booster shots too. The lump on his abdomen didn't seem to cause any concern and I think has gone down in size. He has just been told to put a little weight on. A special treat for Duncan was a trip to the pub to meet Ellie and then a walk around Reading town centre. Ellie is already best buddies with the homeless guys and we had to stop on every corner for Dunc to be petted and spoilt. It feels like he has been here years!

Hmmm. I did put a knock knock on it... But I don't think Katie knows my secret codes for rehoming... I think the clue is now on page 1.

Sorry, no, I need to learn the codes! Duncan ( now officially Duncan Disorderly) is now adopted and settling in well. Has well and truly got his paws under the table and has become a chewy monster. Shoes, logs dragged in and just now a box of six eggs eaten all over the sitting room carpet. Naughty Duncan Disorderly is obviously feeling very pleased with himself as he is currently roaching on the couch. All of us are totally smitten.
