Pleased that he's home. Lucky boy to have roast chicken for his breakfast.

Chester had a comfortable, quiet night, & when he woke he was back to his pre-op self. He was livelier than ever on the lead during the early walk, & as for breakfast.................. The roast chicken was very well received, & once he had cleared his bowl he ensured that there was nowt edible left in the girls'.
ETA: Penny will be taking him to the vets for his post-op checkup around noon tomorrow.

That's great that Chester has recovered so well from the GA. Have fun keeping him calm for the next few days Barney.

Boys definitely seem to recover overnight (except poor Boris!) Glad it all went to plan. Good luck with stopping Chester from bouncing around! 😉

Hope the Loxicom is helping keep the pain at bay Barney. Anil said they were having trouble keeping the collar on his little head.

Hope the Loxicom is helping keep the pain at bay Barney. Anil said they were having trouble keeping the collar on his little head. He had his first dose of Loxicom with his breakfast this morning, & happily there's been no indication that he's in any pain at all.

We're currently experiencing a very loud thunderstorm, & true to form Annie has retreated into the sanctuary of the office, lying under my desk. Chester, however, hasn't batted an eyelid.

I seem to recall stating that Chester does not pull on the lead, but since his op he does! Needless to say we are working on this issue. On the plus side I'm getting him to sit every time he's about to get his lead on or receive a treat, & he's responding well.

Chester is back from his checkup at the vets, & all is A.O.K. His wounds are healing well, (in spite of his persistent boisterousness! ), & he only needs two more doses of Loxicom. He also had his first vax. He'll go back for another checkup next Friday, & will have his second vax the following week.

Penny took him to the Vets today, and when she said they wanted to see him again next week, we both agreed that if it has healed well he can skip that checkup. I am off to Anil next Friday so will chat with him then. I hope you are not making him sit lots Barney, because that means lots of treats!!
