The problem is that everyone who applies thinks that she is a sedate older lady and needs a sedate old lady! When in fact, apart from her blindness she is active, and the last thing she needs is a sedate owner who potters. She needs someone with a garden of at least half an acre, or someone who lives so remote that they don't have to go out of their door and along to the usual dog walkng places to walk her. She will be the ideal companion for a couple who have no ties and no other pets and live remotely.

We took Jemima down to the lodge at Weymouth. We has a beautiful but very yappy JRT next door who constantly came round to bark at my pack. Non of our dogs reacted except Jemima but with the use of some yummy sausages she soon realised if she didn't react she got a treat. By the time we left she didn't react at all, even without sausages. I will definately back what Jenny says. Jemima does enjoy walking as long as you can avoid other dogs. I am fairly strong so I can handle her and she is always muzzled but it is not nice for her to get so worked up. In all other ways she is a brilliant dog. Playful, cuddly, loyal and house trained. Someone is really missing out.

Little Miss Jemima (also known as Moo Moo) has been with us a year today. She remains a sweet, loyal, amusing and almost perfect thing. If she wasn't such a pain with other dogs I am sure she would be long gone. She does enjoy her walks so today we walked her around Morton Woods in Dorset. Meeting only one other dog walker which we passed without problem. Thankfully her new jacket seems to be doing the trick. We just pass as quickly and calmly as possible ๐ถ๐

I can't believe it's been a whole year. There's someone out there who can give her the special home she needs but in the meantime you're doing an amazing job with her and giving her the security and love she needs to bring out her sweet nature.

Is it really a year? Bless, she seems such a sweet dog and perfectly understandable that she snaps at dogs she can't see. She can't read their body language so doesn't know their intentions so takes the offensive.

Dogs are amazing! Sheโs being a fun, happy dog, regardless of not being able to see. Letโs hope thereโs someone out there who can see that and give her the home environment in which she can flourish, just like you and Neil have.
