The lovely Emmy continues to be a star ☆ I bit the bullet and let her off lead today, there were no other dogs around. She has brilliant recall. She likes to pick things up and run around with it, throwing it in the air. Bits of cut grass, a toy, stick or her favourite...my glove! At one point i hid behind a bush, she carried on with Neil then realised I wasn't there, she got quite panicky so she obviously likes to keep her human in sight. I will get some video footage of her playing, she is such a happy girl.
My initial assessment for her requirements for her forever home. So far.... ◇A home where there is someone around most of the time. She does get very attached to her human and becomes vocal if left. This can be worked on, she doesn't follow me everywhere now so is gaining confidence. ◇She could be a lone dog but one other for company would be nice. ◇I've not seen her with children but her relinquishing owner said Emmy was good with her grand children. We had a baby visit today and she took no notice. ◇Emmy does talk so will need a human who understands lurcher language .... it sounds like no no no noooo I love it. It doesn't last long but she usually does it when she wants a botty scratch or food. She stops if you ignore her.
It's not alot to ask for but she will give so much in return, she really is a ready made companion. Travels well, polite with other dogs and humans. Clean. Loves to walk alongside you, takes treats gently.... a delight. (Yes, I am in love as usual!)

lovely picture. She looks like she has a small head. Is she starting to slim down from her regular walks?

I got to meet this lovely girl today at the Street Collection in Romsey. She was a true ambassador and didn't put a paw wrong. Someone is going to be very lucky indeed when they adopt this perfect hound.

lovely picture. She looks like she has a small head. Is she starting to slim down from her regular walks? Her head does look small in comparison with her body. She is getting more definition to her shape so a few more weeks should see her closer to her ideal weight.

I've been a very naughty foster mummy. I was hoping that no one would notice Emmy if I kept quiet She has been sun bathing today and this afternoon we had a lengthy walk with Romi and her crew + 1. Emmy is such a fantastic dog to walk. Her recall is excellent, she isn't into running off too far ahead. She really is beginning to relax more and settle in to pack life. She doesn't share beds with the others but seems to like their company. ♡

Emmy behaved perfectly on our walk today. She just mooches along. doesn't get involved in all the boisterous boys' games, and is the perfect lady. She also settled well at the garden centre café where we absolutely didn't eat any cake at all.

Glad you had a nice walk with Ro and her pack Claire. The weather has been lovely today and I just know you and Ro wouldn't think of having cake!!

No way did we have cake... I wouldn't even consider driving to a garden centre because they had better cake offerings than Manor Farm I would love to keep Emmy Heather but if I did there would be no more fostering for us. So I have to keep having my heart broken knowing that each hound I've helped go on to have wonderful lives.
