Lily and Poppy, both SLR doglets, are needing a new home. Since their lovely Adopter dad John died, their mum Rosemary has found it increasingly hard to get them out and about and exercised. She feels she is not doing them any justice by keeping them and they are dogs that need to have a good run every day. Lily and Poppy are lovely girls, very loved, have been looked after and are in perfect health and fitness. WE ARE NOW GOING TO FIND THEM THE RIGHT HOMES APART.... They do both love to run and so an active home, with some space for them to play is what we are after. They are just beautiful girls, who have been on lots of SLR walks and fundraising with their dad John. They are a credit to his memory. Please do not apply if you are not around most of the time as these girls have been used to their human company. More photo hopefully to follow of the girls.

I feel so sorry for everyone involved. I know John and Rosemary fairly well, having fostered Poppy, and I cannot imagine how hard it is for Rosemary to have lost her beloved husband and now their beloved dogs too. Hugest respect to her for putting the 'girls' well being before her own.

Hugest hugs to you Rosemary and your two beautiful girls. Cannot imagine how you must be feeling, but loads of respect for you for doing the best for Lily and Poppy. We wish, but we are full now.

This is so sad, but understandable. I hope a special home can be found soon for these two lovely girls. I get a lump in my throat when I see that photo of John. What a lovely man he was... there's lots of us who feel his loss

Just echoing what everyone else said. Very sad for Rosemary, it must have taken alot of soul searching. A loving and selfless decision. I'd love to help out but don't think I could go to 7 dogs. Sending much love and best wishes for their future, I know Jenny will find a good home for them

Just want to bump these two lovelies. We have had applications but I may have implied that these two girls were daddy's girls. They will bond with whoever shows them the love and support that they need.

They are so gorgeous and it sounds as if you may have a lovely home for them already. Fingers crossed. Whoever takes them will be so lucky.

We have, with sadness, decided that we are rehoming these two girls separately.
As long as they have someone around most of the time and possibly another Lurcher to run and play with they will be fine.
These girls are used to their freedom, a large garden and an active life, so please consider that when you apply.
