Woody has come in after being found after an R.T.A. His hip was shattered and the best thing for him was to amputate. He is around 4 months old. And still has many baby teeth. Gorgeous pup who will be semi-rough coat. Woody is currently being fostered with Sarah in Hampshire, (huge thanks Sarah) and as you can see is having a new best friend. He's doing so well, and the wound has all but healed. He'l be a little pocket rocket in no time on three legs. Woody does have interest already so we are not opening the application list yet.

What a gorgeous looking chap.... a mini Hamish. I'm not surprised he's being snapped up. And huge thanks to Sarah and the Funny Farm for taking such good care of him.

This is the most gorgeous puppy ever!!
Poor Woody was picked up by a dear friend of mine who is an RSPCA inspector. She agreed to his op and follow on care - and then realised she hadn't ok'd it with her boss. Unfortunately, there was no foster option for the little lad, so he would need to go to the center kennels to convalesce. I suggested my friend call MC, as this little chap would shut down so quickly in kennels after all he had been through. So, here he is! Welcome Woody.
Woody's history as far as we can work out -
He was picked up by the dog warden, on a main bypass road, where it was suspected he had been involved in an RTC. On further inspection, Woody's injuries were very localised with no damage to his stopper pads, claws and no other bruising, that would normally be presented wit an rtc. The injuries he sustained were not conducive with a rtc, but a beating.
The RSPCA vet suggested fusing his hip and pinning his broken leg, but after talking to MC, a mutual agreement was made to amputate as fusing could potentially cause so many ongoing problems with bone growth - coupled with the fact he is going to be a very BIG boy!!
So, Woody had his op on 29/01. He has extensive bruising at the moment, but the stitches (26 0f them), are clean and holding well. My RSPCA friend has kindly taken him for his check up this morning and I will update again when he gets back to the Funny Farm!
The poor lad was vomiting on his first night - he was so riddled with worms it was more like piles of elastic bands than sick. Not to mention the flea infestation.
Woody is such an absolute sweetheart. He loves the children, and is getting on really well with the rest of my pack and very well with all the kitties too!
Woody is a very quiet, sensitive chap and does suffer from quite bad SA at the moment but that is only to be expected. We are working on the housetraining bit - but this will take a while as he doesn't look like he has been in a home environment before now.
I will update again once he is home! xx

Mr. Gorgeous has returned from his adventure with my lovely RSPCA friend.
He now weighs 12.1kg and has been given another wormer.
Unfortunately he seems to have had an adverse reaction to the internal stitches, causing a lot of excessive bruising and weeping through the skin. Woody has been given different ab's which will hopefully sort it out. Worst case scenario he will have to have the wound site re opened, cleaned up and different material used. Have everything crossed the ab's do the trick.

Poor little mite, what a terrible start to his life. But having landed on his 3 paws with Sarah and family, he will think he has died and gone to heaven. Well done Sarah for taking this poor lad in. He is absolutely scrummy Just read your update, poor little fella again. Lets hope the new abs work and he doesn't have to have a second op
