Thanks for the name suggestions, some of them we've thought of too but Stella is a no go because that's the name of our neighbour's dog. Could get a tad confusing when they're both outside. It took a couple of weeks before Suki got her name so don't hold your breath! Very happy to report a clean bill of health from the vet She weighed in at 16.15kg which for her size seems ok, maybe no more than a kilo to gain was the vet's advice. Her heart is strong, teeth good with just a little bit of tartar, temperature is normal, scabs/sores on her face and armpits are healing nicely and require no treatment. There was a small amount of watery liquid expressed from her nipples when the vet pressed them so she says that she has come out of season and a phantom preg so she's at the ideal time to neuter and hasn't had a litter. As for her age the vet thinks she has had no more than 3 seasons and is therefore just 2 years old at the most. The harsh and poor way she has been clipped makes her look a lot older than she is. There are still a couple of matted knots between her back legs and if they are anything to go plus the bits of straw in them then doG only knows what she must've looked like. Makes you both sad and angry. I checked with the kennels and they said she came clipped in that dreadful way. At least being so young she hasn't had to endure a poor life for long and now has so much more ahead of her. She has a touch of conjunctivitis which the vet says is due to the poor clipping having taken away so much of the hair around her eyes that there isn't enough there to protect them. We have some drops now to clear that up plus tick and flea treatment as the kennels confirmed they had only wormed her with Drontal and bathed her. She does feel so soft and smells of shampoo She is so good we don't know she's here, such an angel. Yes Angel that's another name we've considered too. It's been interesting watching her be accepted by the pack. Last night she spent most of her time in the lounge doorway but today she has gradually progressed to laying further in to the room and making her way all the way through to the patio door to soak up the sun. I've had the camera out for a few piccies but there'll be plenty more snapping yet to come. Jenny she's booked in for neutering in a couple of weeks, they will chip her then while she's under as she is such a slight frame. I hope that's ok for you. The sun is out so we're all off for walkies soon. Did I say she's adorable? She so is. Just look at her and she wags her tail

With all those thuds, we still don't have a foster for her!!!! Yes, if I was in your position I'd have to ask just for help offers on this thread with a general comments somewhere else. You have to troll through all the comments to see if someone can help.

I won't do that in a fostering thread again.

And that sort of comment wasn't warranted as it was obvious that the girl had a foster place already anyway.

I'm afraid we do all tend to go off at a tangent a bit. I'm just so pleased that this lovely girl is now in such a great foster home.

And that sort of comment wasn't warranted as it was obvious that the girl had a foster place already anyway. I can see this from both viewpoints as I've sometimes thought that it would be better if only interested fosterers commented, and I prefer not to myself until a fosterer has come forward the thing is...one doesn't know what's going on behind the scenes. I think Jenny has a pretty good handle on who definitely can't, and who might, so then just needs to give a nudge (as in this case). Any one of those members commenting may well have left a voicemail or PM'd Jenny...or may have seen her and gotten word out to someone else with a liking for a particular 'type'. I know as I've done it myself! Tends to be the quickest method for all concerned for those seriously interested in fostering.

I do like a tangent.
We are still looking for a name. When she pricks up her ears, she reminds me of Jar Jar Binks! Star Wars suggestions anyone? Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan?
(Phoebe thinks she's ace btw. She has suggested Queen Apailana of Naboo).
