Dunno what you're talking about Simon - there's room for AT LEAST one more on there!!

Even when the image is in focus, one can't see more spare space. But Lurchers are extremely good at making space where none apparently exists!

Looks a bit like my bed when I'm trying to fit into it at night.

This being Albert's thread, I must mention that he's the best sleeper of the 3 hounds. Joey's a figet monster, though very cuddly. Ringo's big and strong and when he stretches, there's a risk you're flung against the far wall. Yes,,, much excitement in our bedroom at night. Albert, when he does join us, which isn't always, gets on the bed and goes to sleep. When he stretches, his legs go into the air and he's never got off the bed, unless he wants a pee. Nowadays, that's at about getting up time. Dunno what you're talking about Simon - there's room for AT LEAST one more on there!! I expected that sort of comment from Jannine. Don't you start!

Albert mooched, mingled and errr,,, m... chilled throughout the charity event in Poole at the weekend. Flapping flags and bunting, drums (many and much noisy); strangers, young and old, including kids and prams; sausages; bouncy castles; stuff happening all around. Nothing phased him. Ridiculously relaxed. Joey & Ringo did somewhat pay the price when we got home and some major puppy-like play ensued. A very bug puppy indeed, yet at ease in the noise and crowds or on the back seat of the car. With one of his SLR fanboyz

He was an absolute star with everyone, and all dogs. Not even the drum band phased him. Gorgeous doglet x

He's a lovely boy, for sure, and has shown just how good he is. Let's hope someone comes along soon and realises he's the one for them

This last couple of weeks has marked a significant jump in Albert's good behaviour. Not that he was difficult. Just completely ignorant of what a domesticated dog is or does. Nothing fancy, just attentiveness, responsiveness and following the routines throughout the day. He now is often the first to sit "on the mat", to get ready to go out or wait for his paws to be dried. He waits, with food in bowl in front of him, along with Ringo & Joey, to be given the command to "go on then" and tuck in. Helen started doing that and I didn't even know he could! We're now starting to leave the child-gate on the stairs open when we pop upstairs and with a "you stay there",,, he does. It's hard to recall the dog that thought he was supposed to pee and poo INside and didn't seem to know what grass and trees are. His play style, timing and amount is also beginning to marry with Ringo & Joey's own preferences. Much mouthy-mouthy-growly-grumbly play with Joey and some YEAH, GO ON THEN! with Ringo, withOUT Ringo's hackles and tail going up. Chill time. Which was preceded and followed by much gentle play. Hopefully get some 'action' shots this weekend, including at the SLR walk Sunday. During the normal day's walks, I prefer to focus on dog safety, aka retention, rather than photography.

Lovely walk in the meadows, woods and beer garden with 32 other dogs today. Albert behaved impeccably. Sociably engaging and very responsive. Likely would have had a different feel to it if a deer had shown up, but all the humans and other dogs were taken in his long stride. Chillin' in the pub afterwards.

Back down to 3 dogs, with Tiger having gone to his [hopefully] permanent sofa, it's been interesting to see how easy to live with Albert is. He'll miss the play with Tiger, but he fits in with whoever's around.

I would have him like a shot if I didn't already have 5, 3 of whom are now oldies. I love this lad. Just my type of dog.

Albert putting himself into Heather & Robin's car yesterday evening, after a play/test session with Rowlf. Some back-to-the-drawing-board stuff all around, but no hiding away for Albert. Robin took a crackin' video of a Albert & Rowlf zoomy, but it deserves reorientation and putting on YouTube. Not sure if my PC for editing or i-net for uploading can do, but it's something I'd like to sort out.
