Lovely - and how sweet your three are with him? when is Lenny going to get his name in the thread title rather than being referred to by his disability? Not sure Philipa, maybe Jenny will update it when he's finished his vaccinations and is ready to be rehomed. His wound has healed really well and the hair is growing over it really nicely. He has a very soft fluffy coat, not smooth, but not rough either - it's like a soft teddy bear. Soon you won't be able to see where he was shaved for the surgery. He loves playing with Alice and has perfected the art of dancing on his back legs while jumping up to play fight with her. He bounces back well when he falls over but this morning he fell really hard on concrete right where his leg has been amputated and he cried and cried. It was horrible hearing him so distressed, but like all dogs, he lives in the moment and within a few minutes he was back jumping up at Alice. He's a very curious little pup... likes to help with vacuum cleaning, sweeping, watering, raking, hoeing, weeding ... in fact he likes to join in with anything that involves me doing something. The dogs are all outside lying in the sun now, but Lenny's been following me around inside. I sneakily shut the kitchen door when he went outside so he had to either stay in the garden or go to his crate or the other bed in the kitchen. I was really pleased to see that he went over to the various beds spread out in the garden and laid down with the dogs. He's definitely been accepted by all the pack... Daisy is always the last to relent. Comet has started playing with him and even laid on top of him on the sofa last night. You can see from this photo how well his wound has healed.

With this wonderful weather I've been able to work in my Den in the garden for the first time. The dogs love it because they can play in the garden, lie in the sun, and be near me as well because the front doors open right up. Lenny has discovered the sofa in the Den. I tried stopping him jump onto it but eventually gave us as he flopped and fell asleep and looked so sweet so I left him there.

Update on Lenny: He is doing really well. He has learned to sit before I feed him and is gradually learning where he needs to pee and poo. He's had all his vaccines now and can go out at the weekend. He is loving playing with Alice and is a feisty little thing. He and Alice play quite rough but he holds his own and soon recovers when he's been overwhelmed by her. This lovely weather means I've been able to use my garden room and have the dogs lying in the sun outside, which little Lenny loves. I gave him a bath today and he was very good. He loves trying to catch the water when I use the watering can but it was a different matter when I used the shower head to rinse him off! He was pretty grubby and is now looking lovely and soft and fluffy. I would love for him to find his forever home soon while he is still a lovely playful puppy. You would never know he'd lost a leg ... he plays, runs and jumps without any problems at all and his lone front leg is getting really strong... he can beat me up the stairs but still needs me to carry him down. Here's a photo of him in my garden room having a nap before his bath. You can see how well his wound has healed and how the hair is growing back... and look at how tall he is growing now. ... and here is after his bath. You couldn't help but fall in love with this gorgeous little pup - everyone at the vets wants to kidnap him! ... I'm sure those fluffy Saluki ears are growing!!!
