So great when the pups are adopted by regular members of the forum - it will be lovely to see them grow and learn and develop their own distinct personalities. Congratulations.

Who said getting a puppy was a good idea I'm exhausted and she's only been here since lunch time! Photobucket is whirring away uploading the piccie fest so while it catches up with itself here's a wordy update of Phoebe's first day at home. Bless her she gave us a choral journey most of the way home and the aroma de poopie poo was soon wafting through the car. Sooo glad I lined the travel crate with towels so a quick stop in a conveniently positioned lay-by and we managed to keep a poopie puppy clean, phew. Once home she spent the first hour or so scampering about the garden, bouncing about like a spring lamb with an air of inquisitive confidence and adventure. She had us in stitches watching her bound about with endless enthusiasm The piccies will speak for themselves about that. This is taking me so long to write. I keep being hailed to the kitchen where Phoebe is keeping Tim company while he cooks. She is currently mesmerised by the golf on tv so the fact she enjoys sport too Tim says she is absolutely everything he dreamed of in a puppy Ah nope, change of scenery now, she's in the lounge clambering over cushions and trying out the beds and toys. Back to earlier...she's managed to wee on the floors and me but not the training pads but at least 'number two's' took place outside. She took herself off to her crate unaided for a sleep. How sweet she looked snuggled up in there I could spend hours just watching her sleep. She is being very respectful of the girls. We've had play bows in the garden from her to Rosie and a few grumbles from Rosie if Phoebe gets too close but she backs away and is submissive, so she knows who is boss. Abi so far seems unphased and lets little one potter about between her legs. I'm sure there was more I was going to say but with so many ups and downs from the laptop to see this and check that I cant remember what they were. Tiredness is kicking in for me and Phoebe, she's crashed out fast asleep in the biggest bed we have with a toy bigger than she is Thank you to Laylah for doing an outstanding job of raising the pups and to Claire for guiding our little bundle these last two weeks. I hope you, your family and gorgeous Fergus aren't missing her too much I'll get the pics on as soon as possible but dinner needs to be consumed and it looks like Photobucket has got itself in a tangle too, grrrrrrr.

I love the update Sally, , after trying to engage each of my dogs to play and receiving a resounding NO, Fergus then went on a search for Phoebe, it quite upset me but he recovered. He put everything he could collect, took it to his bed and promptly stuck his head in my slipper to gas himself sleep! It was an absolute pleasure having Phoebe, although briefly. She is a real character and will bring you hours of joy, days, weeks, years of joy xx

Well done Claire for letting Phoebe and Fergus take over your household for the last couple of weeks - it must have been so difficult to get any normal household jobs done with these two beautiful babies playing around so energetically Sal and Tim, I was so pleased when I found out today that you are having Phoebe. As everyone else has said she will have the bestest possible home with you
