This little pup is amazing. We took his bed up to our room last night. Put it in the corner of the room and put him to bed. He got out and I said to go back to bed. HE DID! He got out once more, and I again said to go back to bed and he did. Nothing more heard until 6.11 a.m. when the alarm went off. Michael picked him up and took him downstairs, where he did a huge wee and poo on the patio. He's had a light breakfast as he will eat again when the others eat at 9.30 a.m. and has again waited and gone out onto the patio and weed. I went out with the girls for a walk and Michael got ready for work. He missed a poo Paddy did, but it was on the puppy pad by the patio doors. If he keeps up like this I will be one happy MC.

Bless. He sounds adorable. When we got Rowlf we were heading to see collie x puppies but saw Rowlf first so never saw them!

Mmm - don't know if Zephyr was cocking his leg at 12 weeks but he definitely was by 14 weeks - always, never seen him not. I assumed it was because he likes everyone to know he is boss. When I adopted Zephyr, even though he was a skinny thing, Celia Cross told me he was the dominant one of the litter. Sounds like Paddy may be clever and confident. Will be a brilliant dog in the right home.

Clever and confident but not dominant. He knows his place in the pack and doesn't push the boundaries.

Blimey! Nero is nearly 7 years old and he still only cocks his leg occasionally. Says a lot I guess. Paddy sounds like one smart little cookie.

Clever and confident but not dominant. He knows his place in the pack and doesn't push the boundaries. Zephyr does too really (the pack that is me and him, anyway). We do occasionally meet a dog out that he accepts is boss - he doesn't do the belly show but he avoids eye contact and withdraws, then they are off to do their own thing. I am sure that Paddy will be great however his personality develops as he matures - he has come into rescue young and through Jenny's pack will learn dog talk, so will know how to behave.

Another easy night. He relieved himself both ends in the garden before bedtime, raced up the stairs and straight into his little bed. Got out to try Annie's bed, but she put him in his place, so off to his own bed he went until 6.15 a.m. Michael picked him up and took him outside where he did another pee and poo. (Phew! The new carpets upstairs live another day unpeed!). One step backwards this morning. I decided to take him on the journey to pick up Baxter. Halfway and on a stretch of dual-carriageway there was an awful smell, and then another and then he retched! By the time I got to Nikki and Ade's house I didn't know which to clean up first, the crate or the pup. Luckily Nikki was still home and took him indoors and attacked him with wet-ones and I attacked the crate. Yuk... On the plus side, Baxter was not at all phased by him. Paddy has such good social skills, he is very polite with new dogs and it put Baxter at ease. All asleep at the mo so catching up on Admin again. He is a very good puppy.

Nothing worse that poo and in the back of your car. Yes. Yes there is. When it's in the air vent. Hard/costly to clear out and every time the air blows.... Especially heated air. ... Just sayin'. I guess Pups Paddy's too low down for that 'trick'.

Yuk. Left him at home whilst I took Baxter back and quickly walked the two sets here. He didn't moan too much but he did have a big round rawhide to munch on. He's a very biddable little man. x

Well, we have another first tonight. Mims, after telling him to go away so many times today finally let him jump up on the sofa and ... cuddle up!!! Mims has never let any fosters cuddle up before. I think she was just fed up with telling him and wanted some peace. So... they both fell asleep together. Bless.
