OMG! Another Scruffster! If he's half as loyal he will be a fantastic dog.

This is now ultra urgent. He is only a baby, a bouncy one, but he will tow the line if an adult dog puts him in his place.

Any idea how he is with cats?

Nope. He's not lived with cats. He was bought off Tavellers at 4-5 months old. He pulls on the lead, hence the gentle leader. But this little man has never been off lead running with other Lurchers and so has so much pent up energy. They have never had a lurcher before. They took him on as he was going to be put to sleep. A man had brought him into Pets at Home where their daughter works and said could anyone help. She rang them and they took him on. He is just young, vibrant, soppy and lovable and bouncy. Nothing out of the normal for a Lurcher. Loves everyone and everything.

Poor little chap. If only we could help, but we've got a bouncy youngster here already.
I'm sure he'll be less bouncy when he can run.
Hugo is almost a couch potato between walks now.

I think we can take him short-term Jenny! It doesn't look as though he'll be around very long. But no more fosters to fail for us - one Rufus is more than enough!! Where is he?

At the mo I am following up an application for him just in case he can go straight to his new home, and Keith is following up an application for Charlie, just in case Charlie can go and Rufus can go over to Keith and Mollie. Musical fosters?

I had the delight of meeting this boy last weekend and handing him over to his (coughs) 'foster' family. His relinquishing owners are absolutely devastated to be letting him go and I can more than sympathise with them. They are lovely people who have done the best they possibly can for Rufus and, under the circumstances, I think they've done incredibly well to keep him as balanced and well behaved as they have. It's just unfortunate that ill health prevents them both from giving him the exercise and attention that he needs.
He is gorgeous with a capital G and much more Lurchery than the photos show. He's also one very smart cookie with a good dollop of Collie (probably 'Beardie') in his mix. He's a prime candidate for formal training and I have no doubt that he'll love learning.
