When we first had our collie x he puked every time he went in the car. Once he realised car meant going to the beach it stopped.

Unfortunately Hamish has decided that vomitting in the car is the way to go, as it happened on both the way to Manor Farm today and again on the way home. Oh dear, well you've got a few days to work on that before Keith and Mollie come home.

Can you give a dog travel sickness pills? I wish! To be honest I'm not entirely sure, but I'm not prepared to try without Aly's say-so. I have plenty of dog duvets and a huge plastic tarp.

Isn't ginger anti-sickness. Take a couple of ginger biscuits for him.

Great idea - thanks Philippa and Barney. Hamish spent another quiet night on a dogbed on the floor in my bedroom......made even more perfect by him going downstairs by himself at about 6am and letting himself out of the dogflap into the garden for a poo! I love this little guy - he gets more perfect every day, if that's possible.

I've been out for about 2 and a half hours again this morning. All fine here on my return. Just measured Hamish and he is in fact 21" tts, so just a tiddler. He has not been here 48 hours yet and already he is going to be VERY hard to part with.

It's All sounding better and better, and Mollie has given in, so now we just have to see how Hugo and Lorna like him when we get back......

Hamish has had a very busy day. After a quick walk in the woods we went to meet up with Aly where he had a check-up and his first vax. He was very brave and never made a sound. Then on the the Celia Cross event at Cranleigh where he was a very well behaved boy, meeting loads of dogs and humans very politely. Towards the end of the day he was so tired he didn't want to get up and walk back to the car, but he managed it in the end and was even too tired to be sick on the way home. (3 times on the way up. ) He is now sound asleep on the floor by my feet, just his nose and paws twitching, bless him.
