My old lab Marley at a sofa and a coffee table, countless shoes, socks and knickers, couple of bath towels, stair carpet, about 20 remotes, a camera and part of the living room wall. I still miss him every day. We just had a very sudden playtime between all three dogs in the garden! Initiated by Bobby charging up to Ty, then Tess joined in. Was laughing so much I totally failed to film it! First time proper play on home soil.

It does make you wonder where he came from, he sounds as if someone has loved him at some point and veven on finding him he didnt smell like an outside dog. Love his happy updates

Day 5. We were all woken up by a massive storm this morning. Tess was trembling and needed to be close to me. Ty and Bobby completely un concerned! When I came downstairs Tess stayed with Mart as she is never in a hurry to get up and the other 2 followed me as is their habit. A fantastic game of down on front paws, bopping each other on the head, chasing and mouthing ensued showing that acceptance has happened between Ty and Bobby. Again I failed to film it but I will get them later. When Tess came down she jumped down a couple of times but didn't tell them off. Now everyone is resting again. Will report on walks later Linda

Just been out on my own with all three dogs, they were great and Bobby is just such a joy on lead. I let him off for a short play with the other two and he had a fine time chasing round but then some matey with a lovely staff cam straight towards us then got cross because Tess and Ty chased him, then Bobby decided to do the same. Honestly if you don't want other dogs to play with your dog why walk straight towards them in a 2 acre field? I maintained my smiley 'come on dogs' while turning away without eye contact, ignoring him trying to take a swipe at Ty. Idiots should not be in charge of dogs.
Anyway, it was a success for Bobby, Ty and Tess who all feature in this 2 second clip -all i could get as they kept running round and round me!

There are no ELJames books in this house! The first book Marley destroyed was Marley and Me! True story.

I love the way dogs can get humans to play fetch sometimes.

;)Ha ha, so funny, he had been fetching it quite happily but if course when camera came out he lost interest. So lovely to see him run though. He is great with other dogs too.

Day 6
All continues to go well here. Little man is now best friends with Ty, he is eating every meal and treat with relish though does find it hard to wait his turn but the other dogs are very patient with him. Tess hasn't had a word since early yesterday and that was only when he and Ty were being boisterous. We woke a little late today and poor little fella couldn't wait for his morning wee, or wake us to get out - I found this out by treading in the lovely puddle! Yes with bare feet! He has been playing all morning, partly with Ty as seen in the video, and partly alone, racing round and round in mad circles. He is such a wonderful little fella.

Day 7 Last nights walk was fabulous fun. loads of dogs at the off lead park, big and small and little lad was perfect with every single one. He greets politely, mingles nicely and chases if invited to do so. He is more confident to leave our side now and recall isn't bad but we are working on improving it. He is quite food driven which is lucky. Ty is really benefitting from having him around and is much better around other dogs which is a huge relief. We have also realised that Tess has never really learned to play. She will chase but other than that she normally tells off playful dogs. As an outside dog in her previous life she was obviously used to a working life. Ty is really enjoying having little man to play with and to cuddle up with, two things he has missed since we lost our Marley.

So in the mornings we soak Tess's food ready for their breakfast as her teeth aren't so great. Mart left the kitchen open this morning by accident and I found a little boy counter surfing and helping himself to Tess's dinner! Luckily he can take a little extra food!

The dogs were left on their own this morning for 2.5 hours. All well on return. No damage no mess. Bless this little boy, they are all having so much fun together.
