Si had his first check up after the op this morning. The vet was very pleased with his progress and has now given the ok for 15 mn. walks on lead. Poor Si, he really hates not being allowed to run, jump and chase balls!

A lovely update from William in March, with apologies, as I have only just got round to updating for them. Hello Jenny, For some reason I was thinking about you this morning as I trudged round the common in wellies, wax jacket, wax hat and gloves. The things we do for those we love! Yes indeed no news is good news. Silas is fine. He is developing well. I think perhaps he is younger than you suggested. His coat has developed an over-layer of longer silvery hair and he has grown a small but distinguished beard. He has built muscle and is altogether a very handsome dog and is much admired by other dog owners. On the downside: when he thinks that it is play time he will not take "NO!" for an answer. However, I got a fantastic welcome when I came home on Tuesday from 16 days working in Istanbul. Another positive is that he no longer falls upon his food as he hasn't had a decent meal for months so I guess that his body is no longer telling him that he is under nourished and he is feeling confident that there will be more where that came from. All in all - thank you for finding him and letting us have him. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't have any recent photographs to send you but you might enjoy these of my daughter making a fuss of him when we first had him. Regards, Bill Isn't he big - isn't he beautiful!?? And still a lapdog.
