It's amazing how many different 'bits' you can see in one dog. It sure is Lesley, & I for one won't be expressing any views on Dale's mix, suffice it to say that whatever it is it's produced an adorable hound!
Yup - I wouldn't dream of leaving him on his own, & besides, he could provide an extra quiz question regarding his antecedents - trouble is, there is no known answer! ;D

What a sweet little chap. He looks very similar to my sisters lurcher who has bedlington in her. I'm sure he'll find a great home very soon.

Looking at the photo of Dale - not having had the pleasure of meeting him before - I can see he is really a pure bred "Wicklow Hill Hound " very rare breed of dog , not seen too often as they live high in the hills. Nobody really knows their history , but legend has it they used belong to the ancient Lords who lived a nomadic life in the mountains - that's why he's called Dale , his ancestors used ramble up hills and down "dales" anyway, he's a big chunky lovable fellow

OMG. Poor Dale. We have been pulling his leg since Thursday. We have a little royal boy in our midst. I'm sure he won't be around long now. Wow. I'm off to research. Thanks Gill. ;D

Still researching Thirsty work, this researching Now I know I am slow on the uptake Gill, but are you sure you meant a Wicklow Hill Hound, and not a Narrow Nill Hound. I've found one of those ;D

aaaaah - he looks so chuffed with himself - such a little darling !!! He's a real poppet Gill - a happy, very affectionate little chap who's absolutely no trouble whatsoever.
Based on my experience of Dale, I reckon we should mebbe launch Southern Wicklow Hill Hound Rescue! ;D
