I have already offered a foster place for Willow, and I know most of you will come forward to foster, but Ian, her owner, would dearly like to rehome her from home. She is used to living with a terrier who has already been offered a forever place. She was a stray when Ian got her and has been dearly loved and this is a heartbreaking decision to rehome her. But because of personal reasons Willow is being left for long hours and for an elegant elderly lady this is not good. She has no heart or water works problems and her only fault seems to be that she takes up a bit of space on the sofa. She will not be rehomed to dogs under the age of 2 as she just wants a bit of peace in her life. I think she is the loveliest dog I have ever seen Please contact me or Barney and if you meet the requirements we will give your information to Ian.

Was this the one you had in mind for me Jenny? She is beautiful but I think Lola might drive her mad!

She just needs a quiet life Vicky. Poor mite. If I can get Tag a new home she is welcome to come and spend the rest of her days reminiscing with Elly. xxx

Oh Jenny, she'd only take up a tiny space - you wouldn't know she was there. I agree, she IS totally gorgeous!!!!

If all goes according to plan I should be meeting the lovely Willow & taking her under SLR's wing on Thursday night.

Willow had a good, undisturbed night, having chosen to sleep on the dog bed in the living room, where she'd previously also explored the crate. I elected to sleep on the settee, just to make sure that she was o.k. in her new surroundings, but in the event I needn't have worried.
We were forewarned that Willow is an inveterate countersurfer, & all indications so far are that this is absolutely correct, although she was as good as gold when I finally had summat to eat last night.
The lass is a total chatterbox, not barking, but keeping up a more or less constant stream of 'talking.' ;D I'd hazard a guess that this has a lot to do with her change in circumstances & that she's seeking reassurance that all's well. She'll take all the fuss that's on offer, (I've just been the recipient of yet another face-licking ;D ), & continues to be an evidently happy little soul.
I'll post an update as the day unfolds, hopefully with some pics.

When I got to Uncle Barney's I got a shock. I expected a big deerhound x, expecting greyhound/deerhound and looking at her piccies she looked big. I had to look down from my usual eye-line, and there she was. The most adorable 22 inch dot of a deerhound/whippet x. She doesn't stop wagging her tail and she has a garble voice to say hello. I am in love - totally. Smitten.... She is so lovely Ian.. Well, Barney had some banking and things to do this morning so little Willow came on board the Polo with Elly and Mim and came home for a while. The gang greeted her and only Miss Elly had her nose out of joint. All bravado though. Willow just ignored her. Sofi and Mims love her and Tag and Meg got her to chase in the garden. Just a couple of photos at ours as she doesn't stay still for long. She is so so happy and lovely. Here she is. Saying hello to Sofi and getting an ear licking. Ignore Elly, we all do. Not hungry just now thanks.

At lunchtime today 'twas touch & go whether Willow preferred the contents of the biscuit boxes........
....................or Auntie Alicia's company:
Still deciding.............
In the end Auntie Alicia just shaded it! ;D
No wonder Mummy Chook would give her eye teeth to have this gorgeous little lass for her own if only she had the room!
