As you say Jenny she is a credit to Barney, its the first time I had met Winnie yesterday,as you said she is a little love and did not put a paw out of place. And for a dog that ( HAD ) a few issues with other dogs in the past, she now seem to be a nice well balanced dog. There were a good number of dogs yesterday our own and others we came across, even young pups like Tag, and she just took it all in her stride. I think Barney has done all the hard work with her and whoever takes her on looks like they will be getting a smashing hound. She has suddenly changed into a different dog. When I arrived at Barneys with little Junior she was tail wagging and fussing over him like a mother hen. She is such a happy girlie now. And Barney said that last night he put down the last of his stewing beef for Junior and she took back and let him eat it all. She is "a love". xx

At morning exercise in the Town Park I let Winnie off lead unmuzzled for the first time.
She had encounters with, among others, a very large Weimaraner & a very small fluffball.
Problems? - none!

We shall all be watching with fingers crossed, who could not fall in love with such a nice young lady. And what a good girl she is now she has been under Barneys wing for a while. Lets just hope she finds the right person/family to be with soon, she deserves it.

Winnie and Enzo seemed to get on fine. There was polite sniffage going on. Winnie was so gentle with Enzo and he did seem at ease with her. Enzo was a bit over whelmed with all the other dogs in the house though. It made it difficult to gauge what he really felt. Winnie is so very playful with Annie that we don't know how Enzo would cope in the early days. I am due to drop my hours to part-time in a few weeks, so if Winnie is still home-searching, she will be more than welcome at ours, when I will be home more to supervise!! If a suitable forever home pops up in the meantime, then we won’t want to stop Winnie going there, but we will happily take her home when my working hours permit. They will have their second date in a couple of weeks - a run about in Phisiobury Park (not possible this time after Enzo found and ate a load of Burns at Barneys! )

As I prepared to take the hounds for our evening perambulation, I discovered that a certain young Irish lass, (no names, no packdrill ), had demolished Winnie's halti.
It mattered not a jot - Winnie didn't pull on the lead the whole time we were out.
Another small milestone.

Sound like you have fun in your house Barney ;D ;D Never a dull moment Jean - I'm just pleased that it takes far fewer facial muscles to smile than it does to frown. ;D

Having Annie around has really made the world of difference to Winnie - they're bosom pals, & I've revised my opinion that Winnie would be best suited as an only dog. She does love a fuss:
.........................but I now firmly believe that her best interests would be served by living with a canine companion of a similar age.
