I may be able to take a G.C.S.E. in leg breaks soon. Just the keeping them for 5 months that hurts. But so worth it Jenny Thinking of you.

I've picked her up and we have been home half an hour. She wagged her tail when I collected her and was keen to get back indoors and into the office and her sofa She has a 5 inch plate on her ulna fixed by 6 screws which will stay in place for life, as long as the screws don't work their way out. She has a cast on her leg and goes back next Friday for cast removal and wound check. She will then go back in a few weeks time for another x-ray to make sure that the plate is doing it's job. Very restrictive exercise for the next 10 weeks slowly building up to walking. Because of the nature of the op her tendons will be restricted at the moment which will mean restrictive foot movement, but that may ease in the weeks to come. Luckily being slight at 19 kilos is going to be an aid to her healing. She likes her food though and has just woofed down her chicken dinner. At the moment she still have morphine in her system, but we will carry on with Loxicam for the next few days until she is more settled. Another long slow process, and we won't know how successful it is for another 8 weeks. Cost to date - £1481.00.

Just wondering what sort of night Honey had, and how she's feeling this morning?

Honey was quite content to be left in the office. It is warm and cosy and has two dog beds and a sofa, so she chose the bed under the desk. She is house trained and holds it all night. Not a peep out of her. This little dog is a little star, taking it all in her stride. She is on pain relief so we are keeping that topped up.

We've had a breakthrough today. Honey has left the office and ventured to the sofa by the patio doors. She can see everyone going into the kitchen and office from there. Tail still thumping. I got a this morning. ;D
