Honeybun had a run off lead on the field next to the house today. Boy can she run and she and Megan played "lengths", a game that Megan and Mims love to play. Up and down the field.
I only gave her 2 mins as I thought the leg would not hold out for any longer, and she was exhausted. Heart in mouth moment, but she survived. Hopefully, it's onwards and upwards from now on. Just the question of negotiation of obstacles with her vision now.
A dog is a gift in life. Love and protect it. _________________
Just a little update on this loveliest of girls. Honey now goes off lead regularly, every day. Sometimes she doesn't like a dog, rushes over to it and barks at it, but there is never any follow-through. She never rushes over to a dog on lead, only dogs off lead. Her missing eye doesn't bother her at all, and she is sharp in vision. Her leg is slightly twisting with age, but again that doesn't bother her. She is loving, comical and soft as silk. Although she is not into pups she accepts them when they come in as long as they respect she is older and wiser than them, otherwise she teaches them manners. I love watching the way she interacts with the fosters, and always looks to me for permission to chastise them. We love her to bits.
