Asking to come into us from a private home. He is neutered, vaxed and up to date on treatments. Loki's dad moved into a flat and has left his elderly mum looking after Loki. She has managed so far, but now the weather has changed she has realised how vulnerable she is outside with him. In her words, Loki is a wonderful dog and I love him to bits. He loves nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa. He gets on well with her own little bitch who is elderly. Loves children and is a lovely doglet. But she is elderly herself and knows it's not the life that Loki should be having. She doesn't want him to go into a kennel rescue so rang us. She is very close to us so Bruce is going over this afternoon to get some photos and do an assessment on Loki. We don't think he is cat friendly. Any offers to foster this lovely lad.

He sounds like a real sweetie...what a shame she cant take care of him, but wise and brave of her to recognise it and put him in Jenny's capable hands....
Cant wait for photos and wish I could help, but it doesnt look like The Queen's Mum and Dad will make it round the M25 for a while yet.

Gorgeous, beautiful shiny coat, shows he is well loved and looked after. Must be a very hard decision for the owner.

I've had a chat with Maureen today and she is coping well. She feels that Loki is a wonderful dog who needs someone around who has more energy than her 70 years. She drives him to the local country park every day so that he can have an off lead blast and he comes back every times she asks him to. Loki is good to be left for a couple of hours with her old dog. He doesn't make a noise indoors, and doesn't suffer from separation anxiety. Loves to couch. When he goes out last thing at night she asks him to perform and if he comes back in and she thinks he hasn't she asks him if he did and he turns round and goes back out and does!!! Loki is intelligent, loving and faithful. It will break her heart to see him go, and Maureen has done wonders with him, but she is no spring chicken, her own words, and Loki would be wonderful with perhaps a couple who are newly retired and have older children. He is just a loving dog. So come on.... take another look at him and get the perfect dog....
