Dotty and Stokes came in together as urgents, having been made homeless. Lovely natures with other dogs. Dotty is cat friendly and Stokes is everything but cat friendly. On assessment in foster it seems that Dotty and Stokes don't really interact much, so as you see on page 2 it's been decided to rehome them separately. Stokes now has a thread of his own on the forum.

Hopefully. Claire rang me earlier to say that they had arrived. I needed to have the paperwork which owner didn't have, so have emailed it over again.

Sucha relief youve stepped in to help this lovely pair....I hate the thought of buddies being split up and am praying someone realises the joy and ease of adopting a pair of poppets like these 2 and has 2 sofas to offer them xx

Hi all. Dotty and Stokes are settling in nicely. We've been to the vets and had a walk today and played football in the garden. Stokes and Clem have been establishing a bit of a pecking order but there's been a lot of tail wagging and Stokes has rewarded me by already starting to give me really good eye contact whenever he's unsure about anything. He's a pretty strong character, but he's a real softy too, loves his strokes and cuddles, no sign of any temper, and he's extremely intelligent and very, very lovable . Dotty is his step sister, she's a pure bred whippet, extremely attractive and no trouble at all. She just potters about, loves eating and sleeping, just trots along beside you on her lead and is really really soft and cuddly. She also has the most enormous ears . Really cute, unfortunately she's a bit unsettled by the camera and frustratingly keeps putting them down when I try to take her picture. I'll catch her unawares soon though with luck. I still haven't set up a photobucket account so will have to attach the pictures one by one for now. Bit confused on tags. Had an email from Jenny saying she'd put some in the post today. Are they the ones you've got Lucy? I'll call you. Anyway, here's Stokes Attachments:

Lucy and I have spoken about the tags Jenny and should be able to get together tomorrow. Thanks Lucy Dotty is a little titch and Stokes is 20" at the shoulder a few inches taller, about the size of a full grown fox I'd say. He reminded me of one as soon as I saw him . Hes been a star today. Walked beautifully, forgot himself a bit when he saw some seagulls but for most of our walk the lead was slack, I was so proud of him, especially considering Clem was off the lead and bombing about in true lurcher fashion;). We haven't even used his halti. We also encountered a rather exciting cat, but he understood immediately when I asked him to leave and was very easily distracted. Its easy to forget about little Dotty because she is just so quiet and easy but she's a little star too. She just trots along beside me and is very quiet and sweet around the house. They're both very clean dogs and will ask if they need to go out. So that's us for now Cxx Attachments:

I met these 3 yesterday and they are all lovely dogs. Stokes seems a very smart lad and would be great with a job to do like agility for instance. Dotty is more laid back and princessy, and very pretty. And Clem is a perfect host. They all welcomed Nero into their house and weren't fazed by his size at all. Love the bunk-sofa pic Claire.

They seem to be settling in well...so cute! And 2 is so much easier than 1, surely a new family will realise that.
WIsh it could be me!

Yes, they're both super dogs. All credit to their old daddy that they are both in really super health. We had a lovely walk yesterday with a friend and her two and a half year old little boy. He got a good licking from Stokes but both of them behaved beautifully. Dotty is so gentle that I was able to let the little boy hold her lead and when he dropped it once, she just waited for him to pick it up again. Stokes was so good about coming back to me on the long lead that I gave him ten minutes off it and he did two perfect recalls. He's such a fast learner. I agree so much with Romi that he'd make a brilliant agility dog, the vet even suggested the same today. And its worth mentioning that he was as good as gold in the waiting room even though there was a bunny sitting on a little girls lap . I had a hospital appointment today, so they were left on their own for the first time, just in the living room with a gate across the doorway, and all was well when I got home . I really don't want any more permanent hounds at the moment, but I'm going to miss these two when they go.

Hi all Just come back from fun in the sun with Clem, Stokes and Dotty. Dotty has been so good on the lead and Stokes is excellent at coming back to me now, so decided it was time to let her stretch her legs properly and boy did she love it . Really does your heart good to see them running properly doesn't it. Cxxx Attachments:
