Harley has recovered well from his castration, he has been wearing a buster collar at night and he has been such a good boy with it He is improving with his walking with the aid of the halti and also how he meets other dogs. He still sometimes has a jumping/barking fit but is definitely improving, it really depends on how the other dogs come up to him. So a work still in progress but care will need to be taken to keep on socialising him so that his fear doesn't go into fear aggression His toilet training is still a bit hit and miss but hopefully the light bulb moment will come soon and if I mention "biscuits" he will appear very quickly from where ever he is in the house lol ;D

Harley has been for his post-op check today and everything is fine, we met a black lab called Marley in the waiting room who Harley didn't have a pop at, must have been the similar name lol so he behaved very well He has put some weight on too which I'm pleased about as he is a bit skinny still for my liking, he started at 19.40kg and is now 20.65kg so he's slowly gaining

He's a lovely boy, I would be useless as a foster mum and my husband would hate me as I would find is hard to say goodbye. I hope he gets a super home soon.

Having had 2 Wheaten Irish Woofers, Harley is beyond stunning with her colour, and those eyes that say ILY. Keep up your fantastic work, and I shall keep working on my better half, to see if we can have Elfie too.

Ooh exciting! If this is for the family we home checked, they are lovely and their lurcher lad is adorable. Tim was tempted to sneak him home. Good luck everyone . You have our every sympathy with letting go, we know too well how hard it is .

Harley and I had a lovely walk today ;D Harley has been anxious when meeting other dogs on walks and was very vocal and pulled when he did so was wearing a halti but yesterday I decided to go back to a muzzle so he could meet dogs without being restricted or feeling me worrying that he might over react, and he has been so much better he is still timid but is willing to say hello and today we met 2 GSD's, a lab, and a little pug with no problems and Harley even had a little tentative play bow for the pug, I was really pleased with him ;D He continues to be absolutely brilliant with all of my dogs and plays happily with them especially Clyde my other young lurcher. He meets all people in a friendly way and is a lovely companion. He has been clean for nearly a week now although he doesn't actually tell you he wants out he just becomes restless so you have to be on the ball ;D He takes treats very gently and will sit when asked now He is just a very lovely gorgeous hound

I had another lovely walk with Harley who is behaving very well, we met a couple of off lead dogs today in the woods and apart from a little bark when they were further away, he was calm as they approached and said a very respectful hello before moving on to continue the walk, ;D ;D Harley and Clyde come with me everyday to my horses and are both very well behaved around them, and usually take themselves off for a stroll around the field while I'm mucking out. So a really good day all in all, unless you count the counter surfing where a certain egg sandwich disappeared when my back was turned for a second and two guilty looking hounds both stuffing their faces...... and then a pee in my daughters bedroom as Harley trotted off to say a goodnight and obviously got caught short...... don't you just love them lol

Harley continues to be a good lad when meeting dogs out on our walk, he is very tentative so care needs to be taken at this early stage that he has positive encounters to build his confidence. He wakes up every morning at 7 am and lets you know he wants you up so no lay in's for me over the half term! He loves to play and will play with Clyde all day if he could so will need a playful playmate that likes his full on lurcher play other wise he may out live his welcome lol
