Ronnie went to see Anil today and had his stitches out. He has a full range of movement on the knee, so we just need to build it up now. I think he is going to have a couple of sessions of hydro. I'll try and book it. Michael is going to build up his walking out to up to 2 miles over the course of the next week or so and then we will try him off-lead on his own, or with Esme. He has been with us so long now we keep forgetting he is here. But no, he can't stay. I can't financially afford any more dogs and know that I can afford Vets bills etc. We love him to bits, but Ronnie would fit in with any family as long as they had a dog for him to play with and children, he loves children. He doesn't like people shouting, so lots of children around arguing wouldn't be good for him, especially if mum of the family has to shout to get order. It can reduce him to quiver. I shouted at Ripper a couple of times and Ronnie darted into the office for cover. He is loving, giving, soft and gentle and fun loving. Just the perfect dog.

What a moving story, I've read it today in stages all the way through. He will make a wonderful family pet and will so much deserve a happy life after such a fraught start. Well done to all who have taken such good care of him

Ronnie is just the perfect house guest. I can't believe he has now been here over 4 months. He's had lead walks every night now for up to 2 miles with Michael Tag and Milo and the leg is starting to strengthen and he has muscle tone. I take him out on his own in the afternoon and he is like a gazelle on the lead, bouncing and scooby doing. Ronnie is so funny and such a comedian. He has the loveliest nature. We are going over to Elaine and Bruces at the weekend, hopefully to let the little man off in the top garden for a little off lead exercise. We'll get some video, but he is a fast dog. We did want to book hydro but it is very booked up. He weighed in at 24.5 kilos last week, and just about there for his 24" to the shoulder. Here he is with our latest little foster man. And allowing him to sit all over him. That's Ronnie. And how handsome is our table surfer. He will be ready soon to go to his new home. It will have to be a very special one.

Ronnie is a very special dog.
He is so gentle and quiet around the house, and will come and sit with you and lean and look deeply into your eyes... and he's such a happy chappy, good natured and affectionate.
Sykes and I went on a couple of walks with Ronnie and the Symmons Pack before his operation and he was incredibly fast. I tried to get some video of him but all I got was a brief, blond blur and a wooshing sound. So this weekend at EandB's should be interesting, then!

He did it. ;D Yesterday we went over to Elaine and Bruce's place where they have a lovely secure main garden. Must admit that I had bated breathe as we unclipped the lead. Ronnie just stood there, sniffed and follow us. But then something twigged. The penny dropped and he found there was no lead attached..... and........ Then my heart was in my mouth..... A five minute run around and he was shattered, but no sign of strain on the leg. We left it at 5 minutes. But it was lovely to watch, if somewhat scary. Today, no swelling in the joint, so I think this little man is well on the way to a normal life. ;D
