I’m mystified as to why he hasn’t been snapped up Christina – he ticks all the boxes, (except the cat friendly one of course ), & he’s been a real pleasure to have around these past five weeks.
I can only assume that folks hold his age against him, which is a crying shame, since five is no age at all for a Lurcher - he’s as fit as a fiddle, loves his off lead romps, (he's always first in the queue for having his lead on when 'tis exercise time ), & will happily join in any games.

Rory's response to the whistle on today's early afternoon walk:
Dunno whereabouts in the woods he'd been, but he returned to me as usual at a rate of knots!
This lad is an absolute gem.

Please don’t overlook me, people-persons! I may be five, but lots of the time I do very much seem like a puppy – I love to play with tennis balls, footballs, tuggers, & other dogs, & I’m very agile. I also love to go exploring deep in the woods when I’m off lead, but I always come back when I hear the whistle.
Uncle Barney says that he’s at last discovered that I may be a tad less than perfect, since I’m an occasional bin raider, (that’s his fault though, for neglecting to stand the bin where I can’t get at the slidey lid, & like all proper Lurchers I can resist anything but temptation! ;D).
The resident girls all like me, & Annie keeps an eye on me when I’m off lead to make sure that I don’t get into trouble.
Please don’t get me wrong - I do like it here, but I really would prefer to be in my forever home, dishing out Lurcher leans & licks with gay abandon to the folks who have adopted me as their very own to share many happy years with.

Rory with one of his umpteen tennis balls today:
The little lad is very agile & really loves to play, but he's not obsessed with playing.

Rory out & about, (when it wasn't raining! ):
The boy does like to explore far & wide, but he's reliable at returning to the whistle.
Rory continues to be one of the most hassle-free fosters that has ever crossed the home-kennel threshhold, & is very affectionate whilst not being over-demanding of attention: some deserving person(s) somewhere is/are going to be very fortunate to have this lovely lad's companionship & loyalty for many years to come.

Short update on Rory folks. Jenny & Barney kindly dropped him off at ours on Friday night & settled down well with Bax. We had a good first night, didn't hear a peep out of either of them till about 7am, then out for a walk to use the local facilities, then more sleeping before breakfast Rory definately loves to have company & would love to share a forever sofa with 1 or more hounds. He's not food obsessive at all. Rory & Bax are contstantly mixing & matching & eating each others rawhides....then tonight, Bax stopped eating his dinner to take a breath & Rory jumped in and nicked one of his fish fingers ...then Rory stopped to have a drink & Bax nicked some of his Chappie some pics & a couple of bits of video... eating their own dinners.at North Weald DogShow on Saturdayplaying with Bax's favorite rubber ball (kindly donated to him by Mims, I think Mims has a soft spot for Bax) short video clip (click the picture to play) another clip of tug

Trying to find some summer photos I came across this one that I had forgotten about. Can you see the love and devotion. He has a heart and soul to die for. Don't look at the exterior, see the love.
