Hope Buddy is feeling a bit perkier now and has managed to eat. Hope the recovery is quick and everything heals well.

Buddy managed to eat a small amount this morning, but was still very dopey. I came back from work today to find him a changed doggy!! We had waggy tails again (I hadn't seen a waggy tail since dropping him off at the vet yesterday morning) and he had something to eat at lunchtime, and is moving about a lot better. He looks so much perkier. He's not bothering with his wound at all, and I'm wondering if his skin problem is heat rash, as now the weather has turned a bit cooler we haven't seen him scratching at himself either.

Time for a Buddy update. He's had a little trouble with his man op and it has been oozing pus today, so he's on Rimadyl for a further 4 days and hopefully that will sort out the inflammation. He continues to be perfect. He's much more settled at night and goes straight in to one of the beds and stays there all night. I've had to order a cable for my phone to upload the pics of him running in the field at Mistley, but hope to be able to post the soon.

So relieved!! Buddy seems to be much bouncier and perkier today! ;D ;D ;D We've been really worried about him the last few days as he has been so slow and quiet and really hasn't looked well at all. It's as if he has woken up today feeling much better. He wagged his tail non stop when I got up this morning and bounced about in front of me. Bless him. So pleased he is feeling better.

A couple more photos of Buddy. He really is such an easy dog! He doesn't have a huge amount of energy and is a real couch potato. He is happy to go out for a walk, but equally happy to sleep on the sofa, and would be quite content to wait until you are ready .... unlike our Max!! He is very good with children. Two little boys were making a huge fuss of him in the vet's waiting room on Friday. He was feeling quite poorly and sorry for himself but he let them make a fuss of him and stroke him all over. He has seen our neighbour's cat out on a walk, and pretty much ignored it whilst our two were extremely interested in it! He hasn't counter surfed since those first couple of days when he seemed very hungry. He eats nicely alongside my two, and will wait until they have finished before he moves in to lick out their bowls! He eats kibble, raw meat and bones. They have pork ribs yesterday, and for supper tonight they had raw minced rabbit followed by some natural yogurt. He really is the most brilliant dog you could wish for. Perfect recall, no huge prey drive, and extremely obedient in the house. And he gets on very well with our two dogs. Here he is snuggled up with Max - far too hot for snuggling, but he insisted on climbing up on the sofa where Max was stretched out.
