Harry and Daisy are both 5 years old. They have been very much loved by their present owner, and having to give them up is absolutely breaking her heart. Harry and Daisy have always been used to having their mum around, but due to personal circumstances she has had to return to work full-time and the dogs are being left for long hours. They have never been left like this before and have become distressed and disruptive. They are gorgeous little doglets, just little whippets x lurchers, and have always been happy, but they are now desperately unhappy. At the present time they live with four cats quite amicably, but outside the house they would chase any other cats. They are select on recall if there is something they would prefer to be doing, but on the whole will come back. They love cuddles, love homelife and just need another mum like their present mum, but with more time for them. They have all the usual little Lurcher traits, of scavenging, counter-surfing, couching, barking at other dogs on lead, but love to run around with other dogs off lead. Harry and Daisy are no good with horses either as they are there for fun. BUT these two are so loving and lovely. We will be rehoming them straight from their own home but they will be taken on board by us as SLR Dogs for life. We only rehome within 200 miles of base in Essex and all prospective adopters will be homechecked. No-one who works for these lovelies. Here they are. They are absolutely gorgeous. I think Karla or Gilly have a few more to put on. thank you so much girls for going to see Fran and giving her your support and assessing the dogs for us. Such a lovely lady in a big dilemma.

They're beautiful! Their poor mum, she must be heartbroken. At least she will know that with SLR they will get the best new home possible

These two really are gorgeous little dogs Their present mum has been a wonderful mum for the last 5 years to Harry & Daisy and it's so so sad that this situation has arisen, but a home with someone around all the time is definitely what these two need. They are so dinky and so pretty I could quite happily have popped them in my pocket and brought them home with me (I'm sure Mark would never have even noticed ) They love cuddles and snuggling up to you on the sofa. I am sure whoever gives them the love and attention they crave and so deserve will receive it back ten-fold. Beautiful Daisy Cheeky Harry, seeing what's on the bird table Mooching about the garden together Lucky me getting lots of attention from the little poppets ;D

Karla is so right about these two. They are so tiny, sweet and very handsome and pretty. Their current Mummy is a lovely lady and it was a very difficult decision to make, but only a truly good dog owner could come to the right decision. My hearts with you Fran. I have lot's of piccies also but having problems with photobucket, will try again later or tomorrow. Good luck Daisy and Harry, you both stole my heart Love Gilly x

How lovely are these two? It must have been a big decision to give them up. I am sure they will find a new home soon, given how scrummy they are. Commiserations to the family who are having to let them go.
I would take them like a shot if I had the land; money; time; etc!
Good luck little ones.

Thank you for your thoughts. It breaks my heart to part with these 2 Beautiful Babies, but I want them to have the very best quality of life for the rest of their lives. They love cuddles and games, and are very happy to snooze for hours on a bed, or settee or your lap. They are naughty too though! They will take a lng time to settle, but if you have the time to love them, you will get every bit back!

Hi fran, So sorry to hear you have to part from your gorgeous little hounds which is heart breaking. However, you made the right decision (however painful for yourself this may be) as you realised you cannot dedicate the time anymore Harry and Daisy need and deserve. We can assure you SLR will do all they can to find a new home for them where they will be loved forever and I'm sure it won't be too long. Viviane. X

My heart goes out to you for having to make such a hard decision. Daisy and Harry are so very adorable. I gave out an SLR card this morning to a lovely lady in our village who has very sadly and unexpectedly had two of her woofers pass on to the bridge since Christmas.....I hope she finds this thread

Any news on Harry & Daisy? I am surprised if they have not aroused a lot of interest so far as they are such a lovely pair. I hope al goes well for them.

I was also only taking about these wonderful hounds today, I do so hope that they get a forever home as they are truly the most lovable, handsome/pretty and affectionate pair I have met in a long time.

Just checking back in to see if they are still here and still as gorgeous. Can't understand why they have not been snapped up.

Come on peeps - you honestly couldn't ask for a better more loving pair of pooches. They are total snuggle hounds and want nothing more than human company.... surely there is someone at home most of the time that is looking for a couple of great companions..

Gosh. I'd have thought these two would have been inundated with offers of a new home. They are georgeous. And look like good fun too....not too much hard work, no house-training and they like to snooze!!
