Oh, you must be so so pleased with her progress and must be a sure sign she is beginning to leave her sad past behind - way to go, little Ginny! Viviane. X

I just can't stop looking at this little girl!....she has the most beautiful face. I cried streams of tears when I saw the photographs for the first time and read her pitiful story. How anyone could inflict such pain and suffering is beyond me. I have a deerhound/greyhound lurcher already, and lost my beautiful old lurcher last year aged 16. Im going to keep up with her story...Id love to give her a loving home ! X

Well, not surprisingly, given the amount of high energy food she gets through, Ginny is now full of energy!! She charges around the house looking for trouble (or slippers, shoes, gloves, cuddly toys to be strictly accurate!). She then runs around with great joy "killing" her prey . Mad dog. She drops her treasure when you tell her to, before jumping on it again 2 seconds later when she thinks you're not looking. It's a good job I have Percy to chase her round the garden or who knows what else she'd be getting up to! (Having said all this, she is now in her favourite evening position, which is cuddled up asleep on someone's lap. )

Anyone thinking about offering her a home should stock up on pink, fluffy slippers!!

I really don't mind her slipper obsession, but she could wait until I've actually taken them off.....

From the way she tried to nick my slippers, it's more like she's finding mine

I am so sad to see these pictures and Ruby too. So good though that they have been rescued and treated. How much I'd love one of these! I have recently rescued a Saluki, also abused and he is doing so well now - what lovely dogs they are! My partner has sadly said 'no' to another dog so all I can do is to wish them every happiness in a new home and say that the lucky new owner will be very lucky indeed if my new little fellow is anything to go by. Well, Ginny is continuing to make really good progress ;D Her coat on her back is thickening up beautifully, and has started to appear on her chest, bum and undercarriage. Her tail has fur now too so she no longer looks like a giant rat! I can prepare her food at the same time as my dogs, with all of them standing around watching. I still feed her separately, just to be on the safe side. Percy will sometimes try to eat Millie's food and I don't think Ginny would appreciate him trying to eat hers! I've scaled back the amount of high-energy food she gets, and she is noticeably calmer. In fact, we had a panic today as I thought we'd lost her - turns out she was curled up asleep in bed Until now she's always been with someone, but she obviously feels sufficiently relaxed to leave us alone and go and have a snooze quietly! We've had a friend staying this weekend, and although she was a little unsure when he arrived, it didn't stop her going straight up to him for a fuss. Since then, she's gone up to him lots for some attention. She even chose him over me at one point....... Oh, and she's started talking to us when she feels it's food time or toilet time. She doesn't bark or yap, she whinges and moans until we do something She really is a funny character! I'll try and get some photos of the new hairier Ginny so you can see how good she's looking

Great update on Ginny. She's doing really well by the sounds of things. Its so gratifying when a dog starts to relax and settle down. I can't wait to hear she has found her forever home, after all she's been through she deserves it.
