Truffle has a good appetite and I am feeding 3 x daily now to build her up. Her wound doesn't look that bad and though she is still sleeping a lot, is a lot brighter and her tail has been wagging a bit. But look at all her sticky out ribs. Anyway, onwards and upwards Truffs baby.

Truffle is much better. I rang my vet about the METACAM but they said they gave her pain relief yesterday and don't routinely give Metacam . Truffs had 3 meals today. She ate every scrap of everything right up. She is still a bit subdued but otherwise I think she is okay. Nevertheless, she is coming upstairs to bed with us tonight. Now I probably will never be able to leave her downstairs as she will think it is her right to be an upstairs dog!

I'm so happy to hear Trufffle's feeling better, I think our vet also put Brindie on Metacam for 2 days a few weeks ago. It was so difficult trying to get her to do her business on an extenable lead in the garden after but otherwise she would explore every gap, she keeps getting underneath the decking! Thinking about you lots Truffle & sending heaps more get well wishes, You sound like an adorable dog. Paula xxxxx

Thanks for asking. Truffle spent another quiet night upstairs. Just before bedtime she did throw up a bit of her food but that could have been for any reason. She ate her breakfast all up this morning and is lying about again. She is a bit cautious when she moves and is slow coming upstairs but I think that is only to be expected after her operation. I am pretty confident any danger has passed now and it is just a matter of waiting for her soreness to pass. I am letting her off in the garden only for now as she doesn't even seem to want to go out there much but will resume very short lead walks Sun/Mon depending on how she is. At the moment she seems to want to sleep a lot, but then to be honest she has always been a quiet non bouncy girl. I wonder what happened to her to knock the puppy out of her. I have her on 3 meals a day with extra pasta/rice and will buy some pilchards for her today. Tomorrow her High Energy Burns will arrive and then I am so hoping she will start to put on some weight.
