See the little charcoal "Fiver" here at Elaine and Bruces. She is their lovely whippet beddie x. Well..... little Pad looks just the same, same size too.

All the dogs in the photo are so well colour co-ordinated!!! My sister would just love Pad. She has the girlie version. Spitting image almost, apart from the ears. Isn't he just so cute.

We have a little beddie whippet (Fiver 2) and if I didn't have 4 other lurchers in the house I would grab this little boy, You do not see many of these little lovlies about, we had to search for months until we found Fiver 2. Fiver 2 is the third beddie/whippet we have had and I can only speak about them as I have not met Pad. Good points: very loving, their size, cheaky, playful, good with children, very obedient (eventually!), bags of character, long life span, hardy, low maintenance - they don't look any different after you groom them than they did before ie scruffy! Not so good points: Can take a little while to learn recall, like all lurchers love to chase rabbits, require secure fencing as due to their size can squeeze through gaps that larger lurchers can't. Fiver 2 is possessive over her food (although Fiver 1 and Honey were not). I can't think of any other negative points. To sum up our experience with beddie/whippets is: loving, fun, honest, easy little lurchers.

Dear little Pad - is there any news on a new sofa for him yet? I can't believe he has not been snapped up yet.

I think he has had sooooo many people interested in him that it is taking time to sort out the perfect sofa for him. He deserves it. Just because he is so cute.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you all. Well welll well. what a turnaround for little Pad. He was found by the lady who ended up fostering him for us. Elaine. Elaine runs a dog boarding business so didn't mind having Pad until he was rehomed. The Volcano stopped a family from getting hom to pick up their Lurcher Millie. Elaine had to have Millie for another 5 days in which time Pad and Millie bonded and were great friends. Julie arrived home on Thursday last week and met Pad and saw how into each other Pad and Millie were. She doesn't work, was thiniing of looking for another lurcher after their Hols and all just clicked into place. Pad went off for a trial overnight on Friday and hasn't come back ;DWhat a lovely lovely endings. Elaine was the Rescuer, the foster, the homechecker and the matchmaker. Welll done Elaine. I would thoroughly recommend Elaine for home-boarding to anyone.
