FREYA IS RESERVED................. Hi, my name at the moment is Freya. I love people. I sit and watch my people here all the time and love to come out of the pen from the others and have a cuddle. I am now nearly 6 weeks old and going to go to my foster home, hopefully at the weekend. That's if I take my injections and micro chipping like a brave little girlie. I have quite a long coat, and I am a sort of cinnamon fawn colour. My foster granny thinks that I am the bees knees. She lets me look at the SLR site on the computer and play on the keyboard. I am a very clever girlie. My face is very pointy, and my foster granny thinks that my dad may have been tall blonde and Saluki like. My mum is the most gorgeous hound in the world, she is sleek black and whippety. I have been brought up with 7 big dogs around me and I like to playbow and bark at them and run round their legs. That confuses them and they push me along with their noses. I like that game. I like playing ball and picking up flat juice bottles, oh and I love my food. If you would like to be my new mummy/daddy, then you have to make an application, and then my foster granny sends round a lovely person to do a home visit if she thinks you are the one for me, oh and you do need 6 foot fencing and secure. You have to promise to neuter me, she makes you sign an agreement and your vet also, and you must never ever leave me alone in a garden or a car. You have to promise to love me forever and teach me everything that is good, and let me meet other dogs. Oh, and of course I have to sleep in the very best accommodation, i.e. a cosy bed, a cosy sofa or your bed. (Sorry granny foster, I just want to make sure that I get the best). If you don't like mud on the carpet and the odd wee and poo, then you won't want to have me, so think very very carefully about me. I am for life, all 14/16 years of it. They are very strict here about where we go to live, so that makes me very happy to know. I want a family where I have company most of the time, so I don't want a mum/dad who works. One of you will have to give up your job and pamper me. My foster granny says that I deserve the best home in the world...... Are you my best home? Beware - only apply if you can meet the criteria. I'm the one underneath I am the one sitting in the middle staring at you. And my beautiful mum, both inwardly and outwardly. My mum has a lovely temperament, so granny foster says. We are lucky to be alive, as mum was knocked down by a car when we were six weeks in her belly. No-one wanted mum so they asked SLR to take her in. My foster granny loves her very much and so mum needs a fantastic home otherwise foster granny will say NO... until just the right home comes up. My mum loves living with six adult dogs, and well.... I just think she is the best.

Hi everyone. My name is Gracie. I am a lot like my sister Freya, but a lighter fawn colour with a white bib coming. I am quite quiet and as my name says, Graceful. My foster granny says that I am well cute and cuddly. I'm not ever so intelligent at the moment, as I am only just coming up to 6 weeks old. But I make up for that by being very very cute and cuddly. I like all the big dogs too but I daren't bark at them cos they are sooooo BIG and I run if they bark I love to play with things, am inquisitive and foster granny says that I am such a good little girl. I need a family around me most of the time as I am only 'ickle. They are very strict here at the Rescue about what homes we go to and they say that unless it is the best possible home in the world we won't be going. They do lots of checks, and you have to make an application and then they homecheck you and even talk to your vets. My mum had a rough time as she was hit by a car when I was six weeks in her tummy, but the lovely people at the Rescue took her on and she and us are staying with granny foster. My mum is lovely and we have all grown up healthy and happy. We love other dogs, and we love each other, but foster granny says that all puppies have to go out in the big wide world. But she makes sure that our family are the best in that world. I need a cosy bed, a cosy sofa and may be lonely at first. I wee and poo, but I do try to do it on the puppypad. But there is no good getting cross with me if I don't cos all pupppies do that. I am going to live for about 14 years, so I AM for life. Could you be my forever mummy and daddy. And love me and not leave me in cars or in gardens on my own. I need six foot fencing for when I am bigger, they insist here at the Rescue. I would love to go to obedience to meet other pups and I can jump over obstacles, and play with a ball, so I might like agility. My dad..... well we are all growing longer noses and have a little dome at the back of our heads, so foster granny thinks that he could have been tall, blonde and handsome. I don't want to be lonely, :(I want to be loved. Here are a couple of piccies of me and my sisters and brother. Yep, 7 girls I am the one sitting at the back staring at you. I am asleep here. That's me on the far left. I will grow into those ears. And my gorgeous lovely mum who has managed to feed us all til last week. Mummy needs a new home too, but she is a little frightened of men at the moment. Not all men, but someone burnt my mum with cigarettes in two places and she has a lot of cuts here and there. She doesn't talk about it, but she needs soooo much love. Foster Granny loves her but has so many dogs already. My mum needs the best. Not just love, but time, cuddles, walks and understanding. It's gonna break my heart to leave my mum, but I know I have to go out into the big wide world. Please make it a lovely world for me... Here's my mum. She's only 'ickle.

Hello everyone. ;D I am the tiniest puppy and my name at the moment is Mia. I am very whippety and look a lot like my mum only golden. I have silky smooth fur, almost like silk. I am very cute and so get away with a lot more than my brother and sisters. I like to pounce on everyone and hang onto their tails. It's absolutely great fun. But if anyone does it to me I cry like a baby I think you know all about my mum and how we all got here by now. But I would just like to say how important it is that I get a fantastic home, because it is the rest of my life that I am talking about here. And I am very lucky to be alive. I want fun, I want love and I want to be able to walk in muddy footsteps and Lurcher your garden without you going mad at me. I will respect you once I grow out of my puppy stage. You have to give a little and I will take a little. But I love cuddles and I will reward you with lots of love. I am not going to be very big, about the same as my mum. She is only 23" at the shoulder and very whippety. That's me too. You have to promise that if you want to love me you will tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth about your home as foster granny has a lot of ways of finding out things about people. She will even phone your vet So..... I hope that you like me and even more, that you have already fallen in love with me. You can watch me and my brother and sisters play all day this week on our own special puppycam. And if that doesn't put you off, get in touch.... Thinking who I can pick on next. Are you looking at me. And my lovely mummy who likes to get into the crate for some peace. Don't know why.

Hi everyone. I'm Jenny Wren. I am the one that came out last and had to be revived. Foster granny Jenny had to put my whole head in her mouth and blow gentle to get my lungs working. I came out of my mummy without a sack and just lots of gunge around me. Yuk. Foster Granny says that's why I always have a grey tinge down my tail and my back legs, because I was so gunked. Despite coming out last I am not small. I weighed in at 2.53 kilos last week. They call me Jenny Wren after foster Granny at the mo. I am going to have very light brown/yellow eyes and my coat is going to be quite smooth. I have a coat colour change coming, an I am getting darker, almost fawn. I look a lot like Gracie. I like to explore, to play with balls and pulls things out of holes. I also like to disconnect the puppycam when foster granny isn't looking. Foster Granny says that I was so worth saving as I am such a lovely little girlie who gives such nice cuddles, and licks. I like licking. You know by now that foster granny is a very strict lady, and she only wants the best for us. I know I won't go to college like human kids do, but that doesn't mean that I don't want to enjoy my life and have some daily challenges and fun. I nearly wasn't here twice, once when mum got knocked over by a car and then when I had given up trying to breath at birth, so I don't want to waste my life. I love all the big dogs here, but I love the humans too, so I guess I could be happy with or without another dog to share my life with, for now anyway.... Granny foster says that Lurchers need a friend at some point. I guess I too am going to be very lonely when I leave my brother and sisters, but I know a lovely mummy and daddy and family are out there somewhere. You have to have high fencing, and promise to take good care of me. Never leave me alone in the garden while you go out, or in a car and foster granny will get her lovely team to carry out loads of checks, and if they need to they will even talk to your neighbours. I know I am gonna get a lovely home, cos otherwise I will stay til it comes up. No hurry, I am not yet 6 weeks old. Foster granny needs to load up some more piccies of me as I sleep a lot. I'm on the right in this one And yep, asleep on the right in this one. Well a pups has to grow you know. And on the right in this one. And standing in the middle of the mayhem in this one And have you seen the loveliest mum in the world. I think so...cos I love her so much.

Well, you are definitely getting Shayla Helen. That much I know. It is all down to Anil and him saying that they are ready to go to foster. God, I feel like a mother hen clucking all over them all. I love each and every one of them. They are so precious. As soon as I know you will know ladies.

What a lovely heartwarming thread for little Jessie mum and her puppies looking for their forever homes.......... Jenny Granny, I must say (and I'm sure everybody will agree) you have done a fantastic job with Jessie mummy and her babies because if you had not been in Jessie's greatest hour of need god knows what would have happened to them all.......... But this is all over now and you must feel so proud because not only are they all adorable little crackers but every single one just seems to shout at you: "Will you love me..... will you love me.......! ;D Hmmm, will be very hard making a decision - and I know I couldn't! Good luck, Jessie mum and puppies - would be nice if one of her pups could stay with her mum....... aaawwwwww! Viviane. X

A lovely thread Jenny - you have really shown their individual characters well. They are such beauties and I agree with Viviane - you must feel so proud for giving them such a great start in life. I will not even go there with the 'what ifs'.
I know you will make sure each one gets the right home for them and the right homes are out there! How exciting for people reading this thread and deciding which little love is right for them and their family!

What a wonderful opportunity to have a house-reared pup from rescue. No baggage or hang ups to worry about. All these pups have been raised in ideal circumstances; let the queueing begin!

Beautiful write ups about them all Jenny, some parts made me giggle ;D and some parts want to blub about their poor Mummys past . You've done absolute wonders by them all , they've had the very best care and love 24/7 and then some! I hope whoever is lucky enough to embrace them into their lives keeps them acquainted to the wonderful life you've started them all on. Hugs. xx
