It will be hard for you to see him go but you know it is right for him and when you see happy pics later you will be proud to have helped him along.

Cai, who is now called Chas, had gone off to his new home with Nicola and Richard, to live with their greyhound Patch! He's going to have a wonderful life, and we're all so proud of him. He's come such a long way. I got quite tearful watching them drive off, but they were happy tears. We're so happy for him, and couldn't have asked for a more perfect home. Be happy Chas Some pictures from his last morning with us: On his walk this morning, after playing with Fionn With Fionn and Tipton for the last time Smelling the Burns goodey bag, he liked that a lot. It had food in it, a huge bone, and a kong for him to play with. His leaving presents Here's a picture from when he was in the pound. So from this: To this. Happy with his new family

Just a quick update..... Chas appears to have settled in well, he has wandered all over the house and he's been on a walk around the block to get his bearings. There was some whining for a while, but he is now flaked out on the rug. More details and pictures to follow shortly.

Yep- today was a good day, and long, long overdue. But he finally found the perfect home, so we're happy. We're enjoying the relative peace but actually the house feels a bit empty now. Even the dogs I think are feeling a bit out of sorts- especially Fionn, he misses having a houndy friend. Bagsy the next waif and stray that comes through the door Jenny We'll be there for the next one that needs us, just say when.

It is always lovely for a foster to wake up the next day and see that their dog has settled. I am sure that Rowan is over the moon with the result. You behave Cai. And keep up the good work with the cat avoidance. Rowan worked so hard on that. She is a star. xx
