Alfie is off to the vets tonight to check on his stitches - they look really good and i havent seen him licking them once Just another update - I now crate him at night as my cats are wondering around, and although he is cat tolerant he would still chase and bark at them and at two in the morning thats just not amusing ..... so he does sleep happily in his crate as long as Indy is in the room with him. He is an absolute cuddle monster, and now he is learning our house rules he is being a very good boy - his training will be ongoing but he is really quick to please ..... I am letting him off in an enclosed field and his recall is getting better - he tends to run back with Indy so that does help .... i think he would benefit from a doggie partner. I cant believe he is still at the rescue - he is the most gorgeous, lovely and funny dog ..... he does have some interest so fingers crossed ... if not then please please consider Alfie Poo Pants - he is just delightful

I wish he was older and more cat friendly - he would be a lovely pal for Rosie!
Glad to hear all is going well and he has not noticed his loss too much.

Well guess what - ALFIE IS LEAVING THE BUILDING AT 5.00 TO LIVE WITH HIS NEW MUMMY AND DADDY .... and two brothers. I am absolutely chuffed as nuts as this boy has been waiting so long..... He is staying here in Romsey with the lovely Jo & Jem and their two boys. Will be so nice to be nearby. It was love at first sight for all involved. Jem works from home so Alfie will have company all day long - PERFECT. They lost their beloved Pointer last year and were ready to search for a new dog - until they spotted Alfie up the school wearing his 'I Need a Home' vest ..... and that was it ....... I will post pics later ..... but i am sure everyone will be so pleased to hear the news - he obviously just wanted to live in Hampshire Kate xxxxxxxxxxx

What fantastic news for little Alfie Poo.............! ;D He, too, has finally found his forever home and as Kate has supplied a piccie from his new mum and dad, we can all see how very happy they are - well done to everybody! And as he is going to live in Romsey, I really hope to meet little Alfie Poo with his mum and dad on one of our "Southern Walkies." I also hope they are going to join our friendly forum and keep us updated about his antics and progresses. Wishing everybody happiness with this lovely little puppy, he has been so so good while he was with us here at SLR, and the best home that came along was just the right home for that gorgeous little man - have fun!! ;D Viviane. Sorry Kate, got detoured, and then the vets. I did let Adrian know whilst I was on the motorway. Alfie was earmarked for another family, but the hubbie wasn't quite in love with him. And then Jo saw him at the school gates with Kate and it was love at first sight, and for the hubbie. Things move fast in the rescue world. The lovely couple who were earmarked were pleased that someone else totally loved him and feel like we do, that if it is meant to be, then it will be. We are hoping that they might see a sparkle in Cai for them to love. As we all love Cai too. All the best little Alfie. You touched each and every one of our hearts, and I know Ade will be pleased that you have gone to a home that is totally in love with you.
