Sasha was seized whilst being used for illegal hare coursing, & her owner(s) legged it. She stands about 23/24” to the shoulder & is probably no more than two years old. She possesses a lovely temperament, & no visible scars from her past life.
Sasha is a little handshy, but very soon overcomes this when she realises that no evil is intended towards her. She is dog & people friendly, including toddlers, but her cat status is not yet known. She walked well on lead on her two outings this afternoon, firstly with my two Lurcher girls, & then with the Greys.
Sasha looks to be in good nick – hopefully this will be confirmed by Anil when she has her initial checkup tomorrow morning. She is vaxed & microchipped, but ‘tis not yet known if she has been spayed.
It cannot yet be confirmed if she is housetrained, but there have been no accidents in the home-kennel thus far. Sasha is quite playful, both with me & with Annie, & she likes to exercise her tail.
She is also very definitely a countersurfer, & all indications are that she may also be a bin raider.
Can anyone offer this lovely lass a foster home please? Whoever does might just find it a tad difficult to let her go! ;D

It's hard to know anything lately. Barney and I are both chasing our own rear ends ;D She is a lovely girlie and much finer in the flesh than she looks in the photos. She is a feminine elegant girlie.

Sasha spent the night on the settee with me & slept right through without moving. She's wide awake now & quite skittish, though, & has done her level best to gain entry to a previously unopened sack of Wagg - I guess her bin raiding propensities have been confirmed. The lass has remained clean in the house.

We specialise in them Rachel! ;D
Sasha was again well behaved on both this morning's walks, & I was pleased that, (unlike some hounds I have known ), she ignored a large pile of 'oss muck on the cycle path. She was, however, very interested in squiggles.
I wonder what other hound you are talking about Barney. ;D ;D Sascha looks a lovely girl she reminds me of your Winnie.
Um, well behaved on walks? - I must admit that I wasn't exactly referring to Mischa, as you may somehow have guessed! ;D
You're certainly right about her bearing a bit of a resemblance to Winnie Jean, & the pair of them are getting on well.
Sasha was a star at the vets this morning - no reaction at all to her jab, & she was given a clean bill of health. Anil was most impressed with her muscles, & he agrees with me that she's definitely no more than two, whereas the holding kennels put her age at about three.
Please spare a thought for the lass tomorrow, as she's going in first thing in the morning to be speyed.
We called it at Mummy Chook's on the way back to the home-kennel, & Sasha was keen to demonstrate her countersurfing expertise to Auntie Jenny :
Sasha will be going down to Surrey at the weekend, (after her post-op checkup), where Donna & Mark have kindly agreed to foster her.

Don't worry Barney. We have a fool proof way of dealing with Counter-surfers and bin-raiders: We simply make sure that anything of any edible interest whatsoever is in a cupboard ;D

I don't think Sasha's best pleased with me - I removed all edibles just before 8.00 p.m. in preparation for tomorrow's op.
