Definitely a lurcher. Yup - no doubt about that whatsoever Donna! In his defence, I have to say that he's not been at all noisy in the home-kennel.
Moss is a good lad all round: the first thing he did when I took his lead off on arrival back here was ask to go out in the garden for a wee - there have been absolutely no toiletting issues with him.
He is so good that I'm debating opening a book to take bets on whether you'll be able to part with him! ;D ;D ;D

And what are the odds at present 'Tis actually extremely doubtful if a book will be opened, since the way things are shaping up the bookie might well take a hammering! ;D ;D ;D

I hope the dynamic duo gave you a nice quiet night Barney and that you managed to get a good nights sleep Um, actually no, Donna - summat, (mebbe his op?), interfered with his bodyclock & induced him to want to play Lurcher games with Sasha at 1.15 a.m. The resulting mayhem only ceased when I put Moss in the crate for a ten minute time-out, but there was a repeat performance around 3.00 a.m., which led to my lot putting in an appearance to investigate what was going on.
The boy's confidence has grown by the minute, & he's proving as mischievous as a barrowload of monkeys. ;D
We discovered on this morning's walks that Moss is definitely, positively, absolutely not cat friendly.
He continues to be very affectionate, & appears to have become quite attached to Sasha.
A few pics of the boy this morning:

So sorry you had ruff night Hope the next two are a better and that the crate fits in the car - sounds like we're gonna' need it ;D 'Tis not a problem - I don't need a lot of sleep, (which is just as well, seeing as I don't often get a lot! ).
I don't very often use the crate apart from feeding foster dogs their main meal until any possible food aggression issues have been assessed, but it did seem appropriate at silly o'clock last night! ;D ;D ;D

Moss kindly allowed everyone in the home-kennel a much more restful night, kipping next to me on the big settee from around midnight right through to 7.00 a.m. Sasha slept in the small dog bed in the lounge, whilst Erin claimed the small settee, & Murphy & my two Lurcher girls spent the night in the dogs' bedroom.
'Twas sheer bliss! ;D ;D ;D

Moss met his new foster parents, Donna & Mark this morning, & is on his way, together with Sasha, to SLR Surrey Contingent territory.
This young lad has been growing in confidence daily, & we are delighted that Donna & Mark are obviously Lurcher savvy enough to cope with any mischief he might dish up! ;D ;D ;D
Good luck to all concerned - enjoy!!

shouldn't have said that either!! They are both rather scrummy. The bloke on the other end of the lead's not half bad either We're all home safe. Moss had a lovely sleep in the car - a sure sign that there's still a good deal of puppy in him All the doglets met without any problems and I shall post some piccies up later this afternoon.

Some picces as promised. Moss, Sasha and Judy a few minutes after we got home. He is certainly a very handsome chappie. He really has been a sweetheart since we got him home and has either laid down quietly with Judy or followed Mark like a little lamb. The only slight hiccup we had was when Moss thought it might be good fun to wee on Sasha's back but a timely intervention stopped him short (literally) ;D

We had a lovely quiet afternoon with Moss yesterday and he and Sasha spent most of it asleep. but we've had a very exciting morning with him. He saw a deer on his walk this morning which he was very keen to investigate along with the pheasant and the partridge. I'm just glad we didn't see any rabbits or squirrels I think my right arm is now 2" longer than the left ;D And I can definitely report that Moss is an escape artist extraordinaire! After his encounter with the deer he was so keen to get back out there that he managed to get over a 7' (that's 2.5m for all you youngsters) brick wall this morning with very little difficulty at all Fortunately Mark and I were out there at the time and managed to stop him on the descent but it was a bit exciting there for a while Sadly, as a result we may have to rethink fostering Moss as the farmer behind us is very intolerant of dogs and we hate the idea of anything happening to him while he's in our care. He is such a beautiful dog - if only he couldn't jump so high (14.04.09 I have just measured the wall and, in Moss's defense, it is only just over 6' - My original guestimate was based on the number of bricks. So sorry )
