Ooooh look, I think I've done it. There will be no stopping me now!! Dooley's had a good 1st day. Getting to know the neighbours & making friends with an old GSDxrottie. He's gradually settling, and wants to know where we all are all of the time. He is now VERY keen on the rabbit and bounces around his run . I will do lots of little supervised meetings until he stops being so excited!!! (Am I living in cloud cuckoo land? ) He doesn't bounce at him so much when he's in the hutch, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully he'll sleep like last night - right through ;D. We all love him already and I know it is only going to improve. Here's to lovely sunny walks tomorrow xx

No, they are trainable mostly. Lesley and Ian, Bransmum and Snoopysdad run a bunnie boarding business and all theirs are now fine with furries.

I'll keep trying!! He's a fantastic dog, and is settling in well. He's getting lots of strokes up at school and loves the attention. He's made a couple of doggy friends - hopefully I'll get some photos up soon. I've let him off the lead in 'controlled' areas and he's a dream. He doesn't seem to like not being in our sight for long and comes back when called. Of course he hasn't leapt off after wildlife yet!!! What makes them race if you are on your own with them??? He only has a really good charge when he's with other dogs. The first time he realised he could was totally magic. I will remember it for the rest of my life. The pleasure coming off him was something else. He ran and ran and ran and ran and ran.............. Wonderful!!! ;D ;D Freedom is not an underrated thing!! We love our Dooley. Thanks SLR xxx

Don't wish him to go mad too quick. He'll soon show you the lurcher flypast!! And he is still a baby with joints that need to grow and get strong. I hope he has collie sight. Hounds hurt when they collide

Dooley's a very intelligent dog. He knew that the sun was out, so borrowed his mum's sunglasses when he went out into the garden (carried them very carefully by the arm!) And last night, I think he was going to give Boycesmum a ring to say hello, as he borrowed my phone. He clearly couldn't get a signal indoors as he tried to take it into the garden...... Can anybody see a pattern developing here!? Still very fond of shoes as well!!
