Wonderful pictures. Keep telling Fleur to take him to bed with her. I didn't have any choice there was only me. Sam and Bonnie have missed him to-day. So glad he has settled in well and please many more pics to come. Joy Bonnie and Sam XXX

I did the homecheck for Alfie and he really has gone to a fantastic home with a lovely family. Hopefully I'll be meeting the boy himself soon. Eileen[/quote sorry and you to Eileen;) :)takes team work ;D PS do you like doing home home checks I'm not to sure fill like I'm being a bit Noisy keithx I do like doing homechecks, especially when it turns out to be a lovely suitable home such as Jo and Rod's. I have never felt nosy. The families know why I'm there and I don't need, or ask, to see anything which isn't relevant. And it's so rewarding to know that you have helped in rehoming a dog, such as the lovely Alfie, to a safe and happy home. Eileen

Alfie's first weekend in his new home and he has been out in the woods and fields twice a day with Beau. He really has become a ' country bumpkin' He is eating what Beau has and as they are both graizers there is no need to separate them at feeding time. He has settled in wonderfully well and is part of the family, he has had lots of admirers on his walks . They cannot believe he is 10 as he looks and acts so much younger. Heidi the weimeraner has taken a fancy to him, so if he plays his cards right!!!!!!!!!!! Beau on the other hand has more pressing business ,with chasing rabbits and squirrels We have 2 very happy lurcher boys. More pics coming soon Jo x

I am so delighted you are all doing so well. He is now a country dog as opposed to a beach dog - no limits to his talents. Longing to see more pictures - keep trying - it took me ages, but no stopping me now. Love to all of you Joy x

Alfie's first week in his new home and everything is fine. He gets on great with everyone he meets and has taken to my mum's 12yr boy dog too. We went out for the day on Wednesday and my mum dog sat and he was as good as gold with her. No problems otherwise, the bed is rather crowded but were working on that by trying to get him to sleep in one of the spare beds, he has got 4 bedrooms to choose from. Promise pics on the way

Can't wait for more pics of Alfie. Can't you persuade him to sleep with Fleur? Thought he would be alright with Mums Dog as he does seem to like all dogs. You sound as if it is all going well. Joy x

Alfie is coming on great guns. His appetite has vastly improved and he has a good munch every day. Found the right balance of what he likes and he eats the lot. As regarding his sleeping habits, Fleur has him in with her,but after a couple of hours he wants Mum and Dad and I woke up to find I was looking into the most beautiful liquid brown eyes on my pillow and they didn't belong to my husband!!!!!! He just wants to be close and feel secure and loved so you can't deny him that. He is so endearing that we can't resist. Absolutely no regrets, he is fab.

He'll love Fleur too eventually. Just needs some security at the moment. I am sure that once he gets lots of cuddles and tlc from her he will fall in love. Such a happy ending for Alfie. xxxx
