I (Lesley) woke up at 6.30 and thought he might like a pee, after a stressful (!) night on the sofa. He eventually got up around 7.30. Went for a walk along roads to the woods; a bit nervous of traffic, but walks beautifully. Met some dogs whom he said hello to, doesn't seem too bothered. Came home had a bit of breakfast, some chew and then fell asleep. (I really think he ought to wear a baseball cap and be called Kevin.) Poor hammy! Cleaned out hammy last night forgetting she hadn't met Bran. Stunned is the word I think. Put her back in her cage and she went to her wheel; well, imagine slow motion (Bay Watch) one foot in front of the other, in the wheel and that was hammy; I think she was hoping not to be noticed. This morning she had stuffed so much food in her mouth she looked like a cobra. She'll come around........we hope! ;D

Oh my God! Fell over him today, he was right behind me and I moved too quickly and that was it, he whimpered and I sprawled across him. You really cannot move too quickly where Bran is concerned. He met the lady at the pet shop today, whilst buying his new collar - she fell in love with him and gave him a sausage.......didn't give me one. ;D On the way back, through the woods, what did we meet, hundreds of rabbits (well 3), sitting there going kooeeee, we're here. He was very good really, pulled a little bit, but not so I couldn't control him. We are trying to work on the "come" command at the moment - which is ok as long as you don't mind it being sometime today!

Well Lesley - welcome to the world of Bran - reading your posts is like listening to Miriam when he was with her ;D I was in her house and Bran was fast asleep curled up in the armchair - he woke up and put the front paws on the ground, had a long stretch and the hindlegs just sort of followed on.................. Told you he drank sometimes lying down on the floor ;D Such an easy going fellow -

Hi Gill, Ian here. Well I reckon we've got the lying down to drink lark sorted. He's got a nice new set of stainless bowls on a stand, so he can't now ;D Aren't we meanies First visit to the vets today to get registered, have a weigh-in, and stock up on Stronghold etc. Will get a full MOT in a few days, but we are sure he will pass that with flying colours. He does seem in very good shape. He came in at 28kgs, which I understand is a touch high, but we can gradually trim that. Looking forward to the walk on Saturday, although he may have to stay on a long line as he's not had any recall training yet, and we don't want to watch him vanish over the horizon! Will keep you all posted as to how he gets on with any adventures etc.

Been out tonight to see a potential friend for Bran. Watch this space......... Bran decided at about 7am this morning that it was brekkie time and launched himself on me (Ian) in bed! Never knew what 28kgs dead weight hitting you felt like until then. Mind you, that burst of energy knackered him out and he had to sleep it off

As you're seeking a companion for Bran, I don't suppose you'd consider Seamus, who he got on well with whilst he was here, (Seamus weighs in at 43KG)??.......................................
..............................................................thought not! ;D ;D ;D

Wouldn't like that landing on me( Lesley )at 7.00 in the morning. Thought Uncle Barney might like to know Mutts in Distress are holding a fun dog show in Harlow in December. We are hopefully going to it with Bran and new addition. We could perhaps meet up there or call in and see you afterwards - thought you may like to see Bran. ;D New addition being a spanial cross which my daughter is picking up next week. Out goes the laidback, chilled out lifestyle

Wouldn't like that landing on me( Lesley )at 7.00 in the morning. Believe you me, 'tis not exactly a fun experience at any time of the day! We'll be there come hell or high water! - SLR have very close links with Mutts. 'Twill be great to see the delectable Bran again, & of course to meet his new mate. Should be fun! ;D Best of luck to you all with your new canine companion.

Yep, that's pretty relaxed feeding As for Seamus whilst it would be great to have him I think we have our hands full for a bit now. Two new dogs is plenty for us to be getting on with, but who knows for the future. Isn't Seamus the one who has had the leg opp, and how's he doing?
