Milo had his second training night tonight. He is now doing sit-stays and his heel work is fantastic. I tried to convince one of the dads there tonight that Milo was the dog for him. He sits and strokes him and Milo gets up for a cuddle and licks every Tuesday. Unfortunately he has two dogs already and Mrs. has said no to any more.

Well done Milo..Max had his training last night..sit and stay still needs some work, "I can't stay and keep still when all those other puppies need to be played with!", but his heel work is very good..for a treat!

Mr. Milo just wears us out watching him. He IS a couch potato. He loves his home comforts and anyone who takes on Milo MUST be prepared to allow him sofa access, and lots of it. He is a good boy, a loving faithful good boy. Here he is. All this is a bit too tiring to watch No, this sofa isn't bit enough for me and Mim. She takes up too much room Ah, that's better. Ooh, Tag could you just move a little Gotta stretch Bit more Tag Yep, streeeeetch. Who loves me baby. Night night.

Awww, Milo is just gorgeous. Have we really got no-one waiting with a Milo-shaped hole to fill?

Nope!!! This is so hard on us too. Milo is an incredibly gentle and loving dog. I would keep him in a heartbeat, honestly. But we can't financially afford to insure 5 dogs. It is bad enough with food and insurance as it is. So... the next best thing is a fantastic home where I can be sure he will be forever. He needs another dog for company. Milo is submissive so gets on with any dogs. He needs someone around most of the day. Part-time work a few hours, a few days a week is okay as long as he has another dog. He needs to be homed without toddlers to pull him around. He has shown absolutey NO aggression towards babies, toddlers whiilst he has been here. He loves children, but because he came with "he mouthed our 2 year old and growled at him" we have to make sure he is NOT pulled around again. We really needs some therapy or to be kept away from squirrels. They torment him and come down the fence at least 15 times a day. This does drive Milo mad. But it also drives Mim mad too. What can I say, he has fitted in so well. He is so lovely. He is loving, he is giving, he is forgiving. Milo is everything. I love him to bits. And someone out there is just right for him and will love him to bits too. But he ain't going unless it is right for him. As Jane said to me last week, it is like giving your baby away. You are looking for exactly what you have for them with you. To me there is only one home that I have thought would be the one for Milo, but alas, he is not the one for them. So he waits. I've got to be honest.

Yes, Jenny, you've got to be honest, for Milo's sake. Just think of little Bobby for a moment, that special dog who finally found his loving forever home............ And there WILL be one for special Milo as well, hopefully soon, please. Viviane. X

Jenny, there IS a wonderful forever home for that beautiful baby as well, and you KNOW it will come along IF the time is right....... And once the time IS right, you are going to cry tears to let him go into his lovely forever home, but it will be........... tears of joy for Milo baby, that you've just loved too much... . Viviane. Well the lovely couple, despite first contacting us and describing Milo as the type they were looking for have now changed plans and want a smooth type bitch I am absolutely gutted as they were perfect for Milo. He ain't going until it is just the right home.

Well it sounds like they really didn't know what they were looking for which wouldn't have been good news for Milo - I'm sure someone out there knows that Milo is just for them and I'm sure you will know it's right when you mee them

Poor old Milo its funny when I was looking for a hound I had no preference for what it was dog or bitch in fact we had always had dogs, and Gypsy was my first bitch she looked so lovely I would have had her whatever she was. The same with Belle and Dolly I was just wanted a hound if it be bitch or dog it made no difference. But then some people do prefer one or other for their own reasons.

Rather disappointing........, but then they were NOT the right people for Milo.......... Of course people have a certain type of dog they are looking for but they weren't the right ones, because it would have "clicked" the moment they saw him........... they would have fallen in love with him and thought 'my god this is the dog we've been looking for..............' Well, it was not meant to happen.......... Thank god it DID not happen before they were going ahead..... But there WILL be SOMEBODY out there for you as well, Milo. Viviane. X

I love he look of this boy! I cannot believe that people wouldn't feel that they won the lottery to find him! I too, before adopting Sonny, really wanted to get a girl, as I always had girl dogs and thought that boys...well they would be more likely to be fighting! I was so wrong and soon realized that it just make no difference at all... and, well, I did feel I won the best prize! I wish the best of luck to Milo!

What a shame. If only they had realised what a superb temperament this delightful little chap has. To me that is SO important.

They looked at them all John, but not one that we have on SLR. They are lovely people, and in my heart I thought that Milo would be happy with them, and I think that's what hurts. Gem is always in the forefront of my mind and my efforts. I feel so for both her and Milo.
