He needs one other dog, certainly. Milo wants a mummy around most of the time too. He is a cuddle monster. Milo also wants to go off lead every walk as he needs to stretch he long legs. Milo is now around 25 inches at the shoulder and growing ;D Did I mention that his recall is electric. Especially if you have a treat. He is a faithful lad.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. We have had several lurchers over the years and have found them to be such beautiful dogs. We lost our rescued saluki x greyhound 11 months ago and I am now looking around for a pup. As an older rescue with very dubious recall we couldn't let our previous dog off the lead which was always a shame so ideally i'd like a pup to train up.
I'm really interested in Milo and wondered if he is still being fostered and if there are any contact details to find out more. I'm in Southampton but can travel. thanks Kate

Hi Jenny, I have just sent you a text regarding Milo. I can't quite believe he hasn't been snapped up already but I am very interested if he is still available.
We lost our rescued lurcher 11 months agos which was heartbreaking so I am looking around for a pup. We were never able to let Django off the lead due to poor recall and a working background which was such a shame so i'd love a bright pup to train up and let off the lead.
Unfortunately I have no other dogs but am in a child free household and work from home so could give him all the time he needs. I live near a busy dog walking area so he could make chums there i'm sure.
Any more info would be greatly appreciated, i'll email you my contact details also. thanks Kate

milo needs to go with at least one other hound for company. Hi Kate, Angie is right. Having had Milo here for nearly 5 weeks we are certain that he would be very distressed as an only dog. When he arrived he had separation anxiety and within a few days he was happy to be left in the Company of the other dogs. Milo is a barker, a lovely one though . If he wants a toy or a treat or his dinner or a walk he can be very verbal. It would not be fair to him to see him go as an only dog. I am thinking of the times when you need to go shopping, or socialize. He has not been destructive in any way, but I feel that if he were distressed on his own he could be. He is also going through his puppy stage of play fighting and tearing around, and I am sure that he would soon become depressed without a playmate to do this with.

Thanks very much for getting back to me about Milo. He sounds like such a fantastic character! I totally understand about his need for a playmate having seen the videos of him bombing around Hopefully he'll find the home he needs soon, thanks Kate
