We have been asked to find a home for Squibble, a lovely nearly a year old lurcher boy, neutered and fully vaccinated. His loving owner has a degenerative illness and cannot exercise him now as he is in a lot of pain. His son comes in daily to take Squibble out, but this is not enough for this lovely pup and so with great sadness and a heavy heart we have obtained permission from his rescue centre to re-home him through SLR straight into a new home, with full consultation to his present owners. All applications must come into SLR and he will be micro chipped to SLR. He is safe and well and very loved. There is no immediate hurry so the best possible home for him will be our priority. Squibble was adopted at 10 weeks old and is in superb condition. He is a semi-rough coat. Will probably always be wire haired but not long coated. He has lovely face whiskers and hair. A little wary of new people. He currently has daily contact with the 3 and 5 year old grandchildren and loves them. He follows the 3 year old around and is so gentle with him, he lets them stroke and feed him. Here he is, the lovely Squibble.

He is georgeous and I'm sure Squibble will find another loving home. It is so sad when he has obviously come from a very loving home and an illness takes over to the extent they can't keep him . Heartbreaking for all concerned.

We have had a few applications now, but Squibble needs a cat free home. It would be nice to have another dog around for him, but he is an only dog at the mo. He is rather timid and another dog might bring him out of his shell.

Hello Squibble, you are a lovely little boy - maybe a little bit shy? Hmmm........ Maybe a lovely forever home where there is already a sister or brother waiting for you to play with would be nice, I think. Viviane. X

I have just come back home from a very heart-wrenching and emotional re-homing of Squibble. Squibble loved his new family the moment they walked in the door. The children were licked and wagging was non-stop. He especially took to his new dad, Andy, who was washed frequently. Squibble will be living with Sarah and Andy and their 3 lovely children Ally, Callum and Amber in Oxfordshire. Thank you so much Rosa for a good homecheck. We turned down 10 applications for this lovely boy, and he did get the best in the end. All of us at SLR hope that you feel some benefit from your operation on Wednesday Dave and that knowing Squibble has gone to a lovely home will make all this less painful for you both. Just a couple of photos of today. God bless you all xx Squibble took rather a shine to Ally too. ;D Bus she was determined not to share her biccie with him

I've had some contact with Rob. Rob has been looking for the littermates of his adopted lurcher, Link. One of 14 surviving puppies (out of 16!) born into rescue to a big red lurcher dog and a Saluki bitch. This is Link. Remind you of anybody? Squibble, possibly? A bit of research later and it turns out our Squibble - originally chipped as "Lenny" is, indeed, Link's brother! Although, having seen them like this, you couldn't really doubt it! Rob knows of two other littermates, Lilly and Lightning, and is in contact with Lilly. Hopefully Rob will be along soon with more "littermate news". But isn't it nice to know that not only was and is Squibble loved, but that he has family out there?
