thank-you for being there for ralphy just when he needed it. We fostered Ralph, and it was such a pleasure, we loved him to bits, but like you found it heartbreaking when the time came for him to go to his new home, but god willing this is his forever home, where i am sure he will be so loved, but we will always be here for him, should he, or his new owners ever need us. His future now is very secure xx

hiya, i was Ralphys foster mum, and i had a letter from sara and julie, who adopted Ralphy, few months ago. He is doing really well, and apparently grown a fair bit, and he is a very fit, muscular young man, who is much admired wherever he goes. He has a regular group of friends who he runs with most days, so he is getting loads of exercise and socialisation, and one of his favourite friends is an 11 year old bulldog who is virtually immobile after a hip operation, but the bulldog has apparently fallen hopelessly in love with ralph, who runs curcuits round her while she barks at him, before he hurdles her, When they are both worn out, they share a water bottle and chew on each others necks, and appently Ralphy has given this bulldog a whole new lease of life.
i am ashamed to say that i havent yet replied to this letter, it has been in my handbag for the last few months, to remind me to reply, and everytime i start to write, i never get to finish it.
The card that they sent was a personilsed card, with ralphys photo on the front. Really gorgeous, and one look at those eyebrows, and there is no mistaking who it is, and still as wonderful looking as ever.
Like you, i do miss him, and loved him to bits, but he has got a wonderful home, and a young lad to grow up with, and have fun.
i will write to them in the next few days, and i will let them know you were asking about him.
nina x

Ralph's owners circumstances changed and they could not keep him anymore. He was taken in by a lovely couple who rang us to take him on. Ralph has a lovely temperament, a sweetheart. A very quiet little chap. Traveled beautifully in the car and got on well with Rebecca's dogs for two nights before being moved today in a traumatic 3 hour journey down the M.25 to his foster home with Nina in Bucks. In all that he wagged and quietly nuzzled. He is an absolute angel of a dog. Approximately 24 inches at the shoulder, and nearly six months old, we are going to be looking for a home with someone around nearly all the time, so someone in the family not working. Ralph is in beautiful condition. Here he is, the lovely Ralph. I should reckon there is saluki in him for deffo and collie mix too. His eyes are almost black, they are so deep and lovely, they just match his disposition.

Hi, we tend to keep in touch for the first couple of years, but can't badger the Adopters, so hope that they keep in touch with us. Ralph loves his agility and has a very active home. I'm afraid with over 630 dogs adopted out we can't do more than that. But rest assured, he is very loved.

I know I did the right thing when I rescued him from those other people. Glad I rang you and have no qualms that he isn't looked after. Such a lovely boy Thank you x

Oh bless. It has to dimish to a certain degree. We make sure we have the right home, and follow up for a year. This couple were very good at updates and so we are happy that he has a happy after life. With 630 dogs passing through our doors and only a tiny Rescue, we put the onus on making sure from the start that we have got it right, and then we don't have to worry. With the new microchip laws coming in next April we will also be transferring ownership to the Adopters, and retaining the contract right to have them back should it not work. We also have the right to keep us as an emergency number on the microchips.
