Helen delivered little man safely to his "hopefully" new forever home today. As I know the lady we have left him there overnight just to make sure that the cat and he are all okay. So, fingers crossed, tomorrow will see an answer. But I think Jane and hubbie were very smitten. I think little man looks like a lovely little pot bellied piglet. Just squiggy and gorgeous. Well done Helen. First one down. Always the hardest and the one you never ever forget

Hope he behaves himself in his new "home" tonight. You're right Laurie, I cant wait to have another. The sadness of saying goodbye is far outweighed by the happiness of knowing he's in his (hopefully) forever home. He'll behave himself, I cant ever imagine him not

I met up with Jane in Pishiobury Park today. Little Small-man has continued to be a delightful little fellow. He was a little frightened when the bigguns bounded over to him, but not enough to want to run away, just tucked his tail in and stood still politely head bowing as if to say "please don't eat me". He was quiet all night and has only had two mishaps, puddles. The problem at the moment is the cat! The cat will not come down or out of the airing cupboard. It hasn't eaten since yesterday. I would suggest that the cat stays in the crate where it can see little man until it realizes that he is not going to be a threat. This little dog is incredible. I am so in love.

Must have missed you this morning Jenny - and the little new lad Fingers crossed the cat gets used to him. Our George didn't take long at all to get used to Alice when she was a pup....Archie is a different kettle of fish altogether!!!!

Cats are funny animals. Ours were very reluctant to come down and meet the bouncey beast when Tarks took over our life But we left water and feed out where we knew they'd go so we could monitor what they were eating etc. Ooo and we rubbed a towel on Tarks and put it under their feed and water bowls so they got used to the smell too. As soon as they all met though, one quick bop on the nose and all peace and harmony was restored, and mine are timid cats too. The first four legged creature Morley said hello too was our little Mia cat, who actually became very fond of him. He went and curled up with her if there was no other available space at the time, of I was taking to long to make his dinner She went into the crate to find him last night, and stopped there til morning!

I am going over there this morning. The 48 hours is up and I think I am bringing him back home with me. Such a shame, but the cat just will not budge. This little dog has been an angel. It is not fair on Jane as she is totally in love with him, but her husband is very concerned that the cat will be traumatised. It is also not fair on little man as he would be restricted to the area kitchen onwards.

I feel so sorry for Jane. You could see as soon as she met him how much he'd be loved. Such a shame.
Your perfect forever home is just round the corner gorgeous boy xxxx

Oh what a shame. I will however say that when we first had Billy he had every intention of eating Sonic (the cat). It took about four weeks for things to start to settle (Billy in the crate looking at Sonic - Sonic in the crate looking at Billy, brushing them both with the same brush, swopping their blankets every morning and evening etc. etc. )

Oh that is such a shame that it all fell through because of a cat being silly.

Just had a call from Jenny, & it looks very much as if she'll be going home without the little man, since his potential adopters are totally smitten & couldn't bear to part with him.
The icing on the cake was the fact that after absenting itself in apparent protest against the interloper, the cat has walked back in! ;D ;D ;D
