Yep, we are taking on board little Smallman from Clare Animal Welfare in Ireland. He is to become a Southern Lurcher Rescue dog. Having had no luck finding him his forever home, and all being totally in love with the little Cat Friendly poppet they have asked us to take him at the same time that we are bringing over little Lola from Cottage Rescue.
This young boy is affectionately known as “Small-Man”, he is approx 6mths old and is a blue-brindle lurcher pup. He will only be whippet size when fully grown.
Small-Man has been in their care for several weeks now but they did not consider him ready for rehoming until now as he was extremely underweight and had a serious teeth problem. He had some puppy teeth removed just over a month ago and since then he has really improved in his body condition and weight so they are satisfied that he can come over.
Small-Man has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. This happy go lucky pup is almost fully house trained, loves children, gets on with other dogs and also with cats.
A few more piccies of Smallman when he first arrived at Clare Animal Welfare and a month ago. I'd say he is child friendly.
And Cat friendly too..... ;D
This.... from his rescuers in Ireland.
Small will be really missed here, not just because he has been here since the last weekend in June and he is almost like part of the family but also because of his amusing antics, his constant happy ways, his nosiness, his thieving of food from other animals feed bowls (even the horses ration was often under attack ) He won't be forgotten and of course we couldn't even if we wanted to because we have his sister, Luna, to remind us of him always (yes I gave in to the children and my softer side again but I swear this is the last time ;D )
Here are two photos of him .... the first one was the day he arrived and the second one was the end of July chilling with my daughter in a rare moment of summer sun
And last but not least here is a photo I got this evening when I went looking for Lily (brown & white puppy) to take updated photos of her
(Luna is to the back of the dog bed and Small-Man is to the front of it)
