I hope you had a peaceful night Carol, although getting Monty out in the garden for 'business' will be a pain with the wet weather again. I can recommend an empty saline bag with a couple of holes in the top and a strip of bandage or fleece to tie it up just over the top of the bandage for a quick trip out. A bit more robust than a plastic bag (although that would do for now). They were more than happy to give me one when I needed it, so might be worth asking on Friday. Re UCP, I don't really know the new layout since they changed things Carol, so don't know if we're talking about the same area. Never matter.

Hi Loz, thanks for asking, we've just been for a second check up today and he is doing very well. Graham has rebandaged it but all being well the dressing can come off on Wednesday, then light walks only for a week and then I can try to resume socialising him again.

Monty had his foot redressed again today and next check up on Friday. I have two firsts to report from today ... Monty has "sat" properly, bottom down head up twice today. The first time a fly came in through the window so he walked across the room to me and sat down to look at it . The second time he sat on the arm chair for a minute or so before flomping into usual lurcher pose. The second new bit was how he greeted the postman-he barked- just right, just enough to say someone was coming without attempting to hurl himself through the window or making any over exuberant warnings. I'm tentatively saying with everything crossed that we have pretty much cracked the house training now, 98% good and the 2% is probably my fault.

It's been difficult for you with poor Monty and having to restrict his activity, but you're doing really well. Even with the difficult situation you're making progress with his training, which is great!
